Unfortunately my current living situation doesn't allow pets so I can't get one, but I've loved animals all my life. I've always been the type of person that disappears at parties to go play with the dog in another room. It sounds cheesy, but they really do hold a special place in my heart. I just love that all they want to do is discover and have fun. It makes me feel like the world isn't such a horrible place after all. To satisfy my need to care for a dog, I currently volunteer at the animal shelter in my free time. It's actually really fun, but it is a little time consuming (and pricey since it's across town) so I figured I should get a job doing what I love. I'll be honest, I'm a bit new to this whole thing. When the time is right, I do want to adopt a dog of my own. I promise to learn from every mistake and utilize every tool available to me because my long term goal is to be a good dog owner.
