Pet care experience
Since I was a kid I have always loved animals. I started volunteering with Hopalong Animal Rescue when I was eleven. Since then, my family has always had a dog and I can't imagine living without them. I continued to volunteer with Hopalong as a dog handler and cat care taker until I moved to Tacoma, WA from California in August 2018. I have experience with grooming, walking (leash and trail), feeding and administering medication. I have experience with big dogs, small dogs, senior dogs, and dogs (and cats) with special needs. * I also love and have experience caring for horses so if they're part of your family, I'd be happy to care for them as well. I am adventurous, reliable and responsible. As a dog owner, I understand that they are family and deserve all the love we can give. I am also very respectful of people's homes. I understand that it takes a lot of trust to allow someone new into your home. Therefore, I am committed to building trust and leaving your house clean and tidy after my stay. I strive to ensure that you feel relaxed knowing that your pets are receiving love and exceptional care. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies!

Does your dog get along with other dogs? Are there specific behaviors I need to be aware of? Whats a typical day for your dog? Is your dog reactive to anything (e.g other dogs, sounds, people)?
A typical day
I'm happy to walk your dog in your neighborhood. I am an avid hiker and am familiar with local trails. With your permission, I could take your dog along. I love playing with dogs who have lots of energy. If your dog is less active, I'm happy to spend time relaxing and cuddling with them. Overnight stays include: feeding your dog PM/AM, walks AM/PM, collecting mail, watering plants/yard, light cleaning and tidying up before I leave. I can arrive at your house between 5:00-8pm (or later as needed) and generally stay between 7:30-9:30am (particularly on weekdays) the next day. Summer and weekend times may vary. 30- minute drop in visits include: a walk, play/attention time, as needed medication administration and/or feeding. Drop in visits can be booked separately (without over night stay) or in addition to an overnight stay. Drop-in availability and times depends whether it is a week day or weekend and can be discussed further at booking.

I am currently working part time M-F so will have plenty of time to care for your pups! For now I have a flexible schedule during the week however I plan to begin working full time in October 2021.
