4 legged owner & friend

Pet care experience

Hello there neighbors, friends, and community. Here's a little about me, I grew up around animals and having family pets. I've owned and helped care for: dogs, cats, turtles, corn snake, iguanas, leopard gecko, blue belly lizards, parrots, rabbits, and even a chinchilla. I've helped care for pups of all ages and breeds. Have gone through personal dog trainings for our own pets in the past. I am a very patient person who enjoys spending time with animals.

Sylvia's is my dog's second home. Whether it's doggy day care or a week-plus long boarding, I know Murphy is safe and having fun.

Sylvia took great care of my dog Murphy. She sent frequent updates and even helped correct some of his less-than-desirable behaviors. I will definitely book with her again!

Sylvia was great! Micky was well cared for and by the looks of the pics he seemed very happy. She even cleaned up some puke which was not part of the deal. Mick and I will hopefully be using Sylvia again.

My wife and I had plans fell through and needed a last minute sitter for our little guy. We found Sylvia's profile after some searching and were very impressed with what others had to say about her. We reached out and immediately received a response that she would be available. Sylvia met us at our house, bringing a laser to play with our boy, and totally made us feel at ease. Not only did she come feed our cat she played with him and kept him entertained, she cleaned a mess that he had made after sneaking into some treats and overall just took excellent care of him. We will absolutely be reaching out again in the future for her services!

We own our home, which offers a spacious fenced backyard to run and play. Its a 2 story, so we can seperate pets if needed. We have a friendly lab mix pup, who is always up to keep your pet company. We also have a cat who is use to dogs being in our home. There is lots of room to roam inside for naps or play. Our pets are allowed on all furniture, as will your fur babies be as well, unless specified. I do not kennel, unless told so by owner, you must provide. We have pet cams set up in our home to always have access to check in on any/all fur babies at ANY giving moment. I also have GPS tags for our visitors. I also have thundershirts & bark deterrent devices as we live in a HOA. They are only used if there is continuous barking, besides that, it is off. Meet & greet is a MUST to ensure that we are the right fit and compatible during the stay.

Information Sylvia F. would like to know about your pet

A meet & greet is a MUST before boarding or a doggy daycare day. Pets MUST be fixed. It is IMPORTANT for me to know if your pet is dominant or may show signs of aggression near food or toys. Is there dietary restrictions or allergies. Do they require medication or supplements. Is your pup allowed off leash in gated areas, such as: local parks, schools, dog park. Your pet MUST be FULLY potty trained. Does your pet have loads of energy and need long walks or multiple walks in a day. Does your pet have separation anxiety or require one on one time to adjust while you are away? If this sounds like your pet, or anxiety is severe, there will be an ADDITIONAL charge of $25.00 PER DAY, as when hosting such cases, pet will require most or all of my attention and this also takes away from other pets boarding & my family.

A typical day

I enjoy making the pets delicious & healthy lick mats. I like to use pet puzzles, snuff mats, and lick mats to help stimulate and decompress. Typically we walk around the neighborhood. The elementary school is a few blocks from me, so we may walk or drive there to run, play, and meet neighborhood dogs. Depending on time and stay, we may take outings to our favorite spots to visit: Rancho San Rafael dog Park, the Nevada "N" trails, Link Piazzo dog park, Sparks Marina, or a day trip to walk and explore at Frenchman's Lake. Sometimes we create pet art for them to take home, and they always come home with a pet report card to share details from their stay.

I am a stay at home mom available for your pets attention & needs weekdays, weekends, some holidays, and overnights are ALWAYS welcomed! I do this to expose our kids to other pets, for our pets to play & socialize, and because I genuinely love animals and want to help care for them. It's not about money, it's truly something we all get joy out of. It's a win-win for all!
