All Play, All Day!

Pet care experience

Welcome to House of Dog, where the dogs make the rules. Here my guests are spoiled to no end and I wouldn't want it any other way. I set out to create a place your dog is excited to visit, and treated like royalty. Time away from you can be stressful for your pup, I hope to make it as stress free as possible. This doggie resort has more beds for pets than chairs for people, homemade biscuits and pupcicyles every day, and all the attention they deserve. I am here to personally care for your pooch 24 hours a day. Certified in pet CPR and First Aid, I can provide great care for your pets. I have looked after a plethora of critters over the years, everything from snakes and birds to fish and hermit crabs. I can care for all them all. With a big yard, lots of toys and even a dog fun house, I can assure that some fun will be had. Inside there are rooms dedicated to dog lounging and play, complete with their own couch and lots of sunny spots for sleeping in.

We are very pleased with Sydni’s care of our dog. He got lots of walks, lots of love and really enjoyed her company. This was our first time using Sydni and we would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and communicative sitter.

Initially, my wife and I were relieved to find a high rated pet sitting service for our holiday vacation in the midst of a pandemic and on holiday season. We were excited to try out Sydni from Rover being that she was highly rated by many people. We were disappointed to find out not only did she not live up to our expectations or her extensive history of good reviews, she was an inadequate pet sitter with poor service. She seemingly did not even have an elementary knowledge of watching after animals. Sydni would never keep us informed on time of arrival or departure. My family members were also using Sydni for this vacation, so she had 2 houses to visit each day and care for our animals. This somehow proved to be too complicated for Sydni to handle because she constantly mixed up which house she arrived at and left from on the Rover app which left all of us confused as to which of our animals were fed and which ones had yet to be taken care of. This mistake could have been fixed if Sydni was easy to get a hold of and was at least slightly responsive, which she was not. Getting information out of her was like pulling teeth. We have used an ideal, experienced pet sitter which unfortunately lost her job because of the pandemic. The pet sitter we used to have was the exact opposite of Sydni; she always kept us informed, took pictures of our animals so we knew they were safe and healthy, sent daily updates, and everything else that would make the pet owners feel comfortable and at ease while on vacation. With Sydni, we were all in a constant state of anxiety because we quickly realized we hired an inept pet sitter to care for our animals while we were hours away. We all understand it’s holiday season and it’s busy (if that was the reason for the poor service), but to take on more jobs than you can handle is only detrimental to the animals who end up receiving minimal attention and care because the pet sitter is on a rush to make it to her next home. It makes zero sense to me why Sydni has such high ratings and is considered an experienced pet sitter with the horrible experience we had. The only thing I’m sure of is that I will never use Rover again or recommend this service or Sydni to anyone.

Couldn't have asked for more from Rover. Sydni provided my three cats with wonderful care, especially for the diabetic one. Morning and evening shots of insulin were performed with professional care. Pictures of the cats twice per day were helpful, too. Would use Sydni again in a heartbeat. Thanks!

Sydni is so wonderful and caring, I feel no unease or stress leaving my baby boy in her care. Grateful to have her take care of Murphy while I work.

Information Sydni T. would like to know about your pet

I only need to know a few things about your pup before they come play with us. Are they housebroken? Do they get along with other dogs? Are they an escape artist? The rest we can can go over later; medical needs, special diets, daily routine, or whether they prefer the head rubs or the butt scratches. What to bring on your Trip: ~The amount of food they'll need for the stay. I have homemade snacks and treats here, but if they love a certain kind of special treat, bring them too. ~A carrier, It's good to have your own personal space filled with all the things that remind you of home. I do not Kennel during the day. For safety reasons, at night the puppsters retire to their individual suites at 9-10 pm and are given a curtesy wakeup call at 6 am. ~A bed, I do have beds a plenty but most guests prefer their own special bed you got just for them. ~Maybe an old shirt or unwashed blanket that can remind your pup of you and home. ~Oh and don't forget their favorite toys! Don't worry I won't let the other kids eat it ;-) If you have a stay longer than 2 weeks the prices change (for the better)! Many relocate to and from the area, if you need time to set up your new place, your pup can hang out with us until your ready. I know its hard to not have your friend with you so come visit your best buddy anytime during their stay. If you see that I am unavailable for your request, go ahead and scroll to the very bottom of the requests page and submit. It never hurts to ask. ****Each day for Boardings are equivalent to 24 hours. Please leave a pickup and drop off time. Late pickup of more than 4 hours will result in the addition charge of daycare.**** I can also care for small caged animals, just write me and we can work something out.

A typical day

~~All Play All Day! It's our mantra here, and we live up to it. If it's your dog's favorite thing, it's now my favorite thing. I'm here all day everyday to look after your furry princes and princesses. ~~24 hour access to the big fenced in yard, always supervised. Fetch and playtime on a grassy lawn with big trees for either preferred shade or sun bathing. Also comes with A playmate to play and socialize with. ~~Homemade chicken stock pupcicles on hot days. ~~Naps on memory foam beds and their very own couch. ~~Guaranteed cuddle time and a homemade biscuit. ~~Walks are around the neighborhood for about 30-45 minutes. or based on the dogs ability. There is little traffic on our cue-de-sac, and our routes can change daily, have to keep it interesting. The route ends up being about 1 to 2 miles. ~~Dog park visits on Saturdays. We go to Bark Park where there is separate fencing if socialization is a concern. Option 2 can be long walks in a forrest preserve or the playing at the beach, but no long walks on the beach- thats just cheesy ;-) ~~Sundays are for fresh new bones and watching Doctor Who. ~~Your puppy will play and get slobbered on, I asked them but I can't get them to stop drooling. I do offer baths, it is recommended after a few days of playing at Casa De Doggie. ~~Meals are twice a day with a snack around midday, or per their dietary requests. I highly recommend suppling meals for your pup, I'll provide the snacks. Keeping the same food will help your dog stay regular and ease stress.
