Pet care experience
I've taken care of pets (dogs, cats, rodents, and reptiles) for over 15 families in my neighborhood throughout the past 7 years, including a litter of puppies and the biggest dog being a Great Dane. I've volunteered at the Blount County Humane Society in Maryville, TN for 2 years and have great experiences with cats and kittens through that. I have a B.S. in Exercise Science and Psychology from Berry College, and am currently in Graduate school for Occupational Therapy at Shenandoah University. I am a life-long lover of animals and love being able to offer help to families in need of pet and house care. I've had early morning swim practice (5am) since I was about 12 years old so early mornings are totally doable for me. I've also had multiple over-night house sitting experiences so am comfortable staying over night.

Sydney showed such love for our pets and was an enthusiastic caregiver. We appreciated her communication - letting us know that Levi, the dog, was favoring one leg when he was out. We assured her that he was okay, happens sometimes. She played with our kitty and even corralled our three chickens into their coop. We will definitely book Sydney in the future and highly recommend her services.
Sydney has pet and house sat for my husband and I several times. She is easily our favorite sitter. We have always felt like she loved our pets almost as much as we do and cared for them like we do. We thought she spent a fair amount of time with our pets in our home, which meant they had company and deterred any potential break-ins (bonus!). She's given our dog medicine for us as well! A joy to work with and completely trustworthy.
Sydney is kind and reliable. She loves dogs and cares for them with all of her heart. Have trusted her with my dog Agnes many times.

I currently live in an apartment that has a cat. We're not sure about how he is with other animals, and our apartment complex will not let us take in animals for periods of time like this so I will not personally be hosting.

I'm truly down for any dog. Old, young, wild, laid back, small, large. I have taken care of one litter of little Pomeranian puppies, and I have taken care of a 140lb Great Dane for the past 3 years. My favorite dog breeds are Pitbull and French Bulldog, but truly am a lover of all. I also LOVE cats and basically all other animals.
A typical day
Once confirming with owners, I'm open to taking dogs on walks in the neighborhood, in local parks, even hiking in the mountains if it's a few days on over-night stay. If they're comfortable with dog parks, those are always a place of joy. Late night adventures to Brusters for a pup cup, or movie night cuddles are a few of my favorite pet bonding memories!

My weekly schedule is pretty flexible due to my program being a hybrid learning program, so I can really manipulate it and my work schedule to the needs of the pets/families!
