I pet-sit full-time, so my days are spent creating a fun, safe environment for you pup! They get to have a vacation of their own while you are away. Dogs that have been here before race to our front door, because they love it here :) I have been blessed with the company of dogs my entire life. I worked at a dog kennel during the summers in college where I learned the basics of how to care for others' animals responsibly, and with love & patience. The level of care I provide for your pup goes far beyond that basic standard of care. I provide a "doggy resort" for the pampered pet, which is easy because that's the way I already treat my own dogs. I have two 18lb terrier mixes that are accustomed to dogs coming and going. Barney and Lulu are big snugglers with the dogs we've had, and they enjoy having new friends on their walks. I volunteered at the Nebraska Humane Society where I learned new ways to comfort dogs during their stays in an unfamiliar environment. That includes positive attention, walks, exercise outside, enrichment treats (peanut butter in Kongs), and providing a calm, quiet environment filled with belly rubs where they feel safe. I'll be at home during your dog's stay. If it's necessary to leave your dog alone, it will be less than 2 hours and I'll safely leave them at home in a manner you and I agree is best: whether it be free in the house, closed in the spare bedroom, placed in a 2x3' kennel, or a kennel provided by you. I have Pet CPR/First Aid Certification, and I'm also privately insured with Pet-Sitting Insurance through KennelPro. Your pet will be in safe hands. *A daycare fee of $20 per dog will apply to any boarding dog who has been dropped off in the morning on arrival day, and then picked up after 2pm on departure day.
