Housesitting, Visits & Walks

Pet care experience

Hello, thank you for considering me as a caretaker for your pets! I love all animals and critters. I grew up on a farm so in addition to dogs, cats and gerbils, we had horses, pigs, chickens, and rabbits. My mom also fostered dogs so we always had our "rover" dogs in addition to our regular family dogs and cats. We raised rescues, puppies, and cared for seniors. This is one of the few times in my life where I haven’t had a pet at home. My last family pup, Tessa, was with me since she was 7 weeks old until she was 15 years. She was a rescue pup who was always zesty and joyous, with a love for food and chasing balls. Each of our animals has their own personality, need love and positive reinforcement. Your pet will be treated as a member of my family, cared for and loved according to their normal routine and your directions. My services include lots of love, play, walks, food, medications, regular updates, photos and anything else you and your loved ones feel safe and happy. If you and your pets are up for it, I enjoy taking them along on car rides for adventure hikes or to dog-parks. I prefer to limit myself to one family’s pets at a time for daycare, overnight care and house-sitting. I live in a ground-floor pet-friendly apartment with a fenced in patio. For house-sitting I have a 5-mile service radius from Campbell, CA. I'm happy to come meet you and your pets anytime; please send me a message with your needs and we'll go from there. - Warmly, Suzanne :) MY EXPERIENCE ADMINISTERING MEDICATIONS Yes, I have experience administering pills, injections and special diets. I'm very reliable when it comes to making sure your pets get their medications exactly as prescribed. HOUSE-SITTING SERVICES When I stay overnight, I change litter boxes, water indoor plants and outdoor gardens, bring in the mail, take out the trash and anything else I can do to help. I really want to help make your trip worry-free, so whatever you need please ask. :)

Suzanne was wonderful! We did a nice meet and greet at your home. She made both of us feel very welcome and comfortable. When I brought Van to her house the second time, he was really happy. His tale was wagging and he went straight to one of the toys that she had laying out for him. While I was away, she sent tons of pictures that made me feel great about my decision. I will definitely board with Suzanne again.

Suzanne did a wonderful job caring for my pup Sammy with drop-in visits during 2 weeks that I was traveling internationally. Sammy unfortunately became ill with giardia and injured while boarding the weekend before I left for my long trip. I was really nervous about leaving Sammy while she was still taking meds and not on her normal diet, especially if she needed additional attention. Suzanne really went above and beyond in caring for Sammy, especially with additional care needs beyond walking/feeding. Sammy did have return of her diarrhea one day, and Suzanne contacted me immediately to touch base on next steps, and took good care of her. It was such a relief having Suzanne communicate well and be so responsive. She also sent great photos & rover card updates of Sammy daily which I immensely appreciated as reassurance that my pup was doing ok while away. Suzanne was a very good surrogate dog owner while I away and I would highly recommend her!

Suzanne is wonderful! The dogs love her and I always am 100% confident that they will be well taken care of when she watches them. I couldn't ask for a better dog sitter!

Suzanne was wonderful! We have two dogs, including a senior dog on daily medications who's grown too old to travel, and prefers home to daycare. Suzanne gave us the peace of mind to leave for several days, knowing our guy was in good hands at home. We received daily updates with photos, and came home to things just as we had left them. We found Suzanne easy-going, reliable, and trustworthy with our home and pets. We plan to use her again this summer!

Information Suzanne W. would like to know about your pet

I don't have any breed restrictions - I love them all! It would be great to know their regular routines (exercise, meals, sleep) so I can match that as closely as possible. Please let me know any special needs or medications they have, if they have any behavioral quirks and what their favorite games and toys are.

A typical day

I use positive reinforcement only and work really hard to make sure their all physical and emotional needs are met so they feel happy, safe and secure. Your dog will have daily walks, runs, dog park socializing or a combination of whatever works best for them. We play, lounge, cuddle, do photo-shoots and have a great time!
