Pet care experience
Hi there.....my name is Susie. I recently downsized and moved from Portland to Eugene to be closer to my daughter and her family. She has urged me to do so for years so I finally did it and here I am. I have been on Rover for several years as you can see by the many wonderful reviews I have received from all the nice people I have met along the way. I have to say it was hard leaving all my granddoggies. I became very close with my clients and their pets. I will miss every one of them. But life always changes and now I have a new opportunity to meet new friends and have new granddoggies. I am very excited to do so. I live in a one bedroom, end unit condo and am fortunate to have a nice space to go out for potty breaks. This is a very nice neighborhood with lots of shady, winding sidewalks and there is also a walking trail along some ponds that is literally right around the corner. I am very centrally located and close to everything. Your doggie will not want for anything. We will have lots of fun and lots of cuddles. I love having them sleep in bed with me. I usually just watch one dog at a time although depending on the dogs and their owners, I have watched two at a time. I would only do so if I had permission from the owners and if I personally knew the dogs would get along great. Many dogs have enjoyed the socialization and have played their little hearts out and became great friends. In that instance, I have become a doggie sandwich at bedtime. :)) However most of the time it is just the two of us (or three if someone owns two dogs). I can administer medications and supplements as well. I have had a dog ever since I was a little girl. I think they are the most loving creatures on earth. I have had big dogs and little dogs and all types and sizes in between.
Reviews
Susie took great care of Molly and even gave her an oat bath before she came home! I am happy to give her the best possible review except that I worry that if everyone will choose her and she won’t be available to Molly when we need her again!
Susie took wonderful care of my 16 yr old toy poodle Chloe and sent me picture updates to let me know my girl was doing fine I haven’t left her with someone in years and she is very clingy to me and has anxiety. Susie is so caring and soothed her anxiety with lots of walks and cuddles. I will definitely book with her again and highly recommend her services for your fur baby.
Susie was a great sitter. She was very good at communicating, my dog loved her, she put up with him, and she let me come get him at an inconvenient time after weather delayed my travel. Great experience, highly recommended.
Susie was fantastic! She was everything you would hope for in a dog sitter. At the meet and greet, our somewhat nervous pup took to her immediately. Susie is clearly a dog lover who connects with them easily. Her calm, warm, and easy-going spirit creates an ideal atmosphere. During the overnight, Susie provided our pup with his daily exercise and lots of love. She sent updates and photos to keep his somewhat nervous mom at ease - he looked very relaxed and happy. He usually struggles to eat when boarding, but Susie made sure to entice him and he ate very well. So happy and grateful to have found her!

There is nothing worse I can imagine than having something happen to someone's dog on my watch. I am quite a freak about keeping them safe and watching them every second. To me they are like toddlers. You just need to watch them or something could happen.

Information Susie C. would like to know about your pet
It is important that your dog to be on regular flea meds, such as Frontline. Does your dog get along well with other dogs in case I may be pet sitting for someone else at the same time? However, that is not generally my practice. I like to give one on one attention to your pet. Although they certainly do love playmates. It just depends on the situation and it would be a decision that we all agree on together. I am sorry but I do not accept pitbulls or pitbull mixes. I also prefer not to have dogs with emotional or biting issues. 24 hours constitutes one day. Rover charges per night so if they need to stay until the end of the next day but not overnight, Rover will not charge you. However, when I do doggy day care it is usually from morning to evening so it would still constitute a day for me even though the dog may not be staying over. We can certainly figure out how to handle that depending on the situation. My children are grown so there is no need to worry about the pet's behavior around little ones.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Time I'll spend with your dog I will be spending the entire time your pet is here with him/her. I have dog toys. We play. We cuddle. We walk if they like to do so. They listen to me blab to them just like they were a human hanging out with me. I talk to them all day long.

Availability
I am retired so I spend every moment with your pet. I am also willing to adjust to whatever schedule you will need for drop off and pick up. If you need to leave super early to get to the airport or wherever, it is no problem for me at all.
