I am an animal lover and have grown up with a menagerie of pets my entire life! I have vast experience in caring for cats and dogs of all sizes and most breeds. I have experience in taking care of scaly and pocket pets, which has made me confident in handling and providing them with the appropriate care. I used to run a seniors and special needs dog rescue and sanctuary where I cared for pups with all kinds of ailments; and worked with a high intake animal rescue where I was exposed to a variety of animals with different needs and temperaments. I have extensive experience in caring for seniors and special needs dogs, including those who are prone to seizures, have diabetes, as well as other chronic ailments. I am completely comfortable in special diets and administering oral and subcutaneous meds. I have also cared for blind dogs and deaf dogs and I understand their unique needs.

Your pet's safety and happiness is my top priority! I am a stickler for safety and I never allow dogs out of my sight when outside. I am also very proficient in understanding body language to nip potential issues in the bud. I have my CPR and First Aid certification, and have the ability to remain calm and level headed in emergency situations. I take extra precautions during walks, including using special, escape-proof reflective harnesses and collars, double leashing with reflective leashes, and using a connector as added protection in the extremely rare case the harness or collar fails. Communication is super important to me - I understand that some folks may be anxious when leaving their pets and want more communication, while some folks would prefer to stick to fewer messages. Either way, I will send plenty of pictures so you can see just how happy and healthy your pet is in my care. I believe in leaving places in the same or better condition than I found them. I'm not one to snoop or invade personal spaces, and I would never have anyone over while I'm there. Your space is your sanctuary and I completely respect that. You can feel completely comfortable and relaxed knowing your home and pets are in great hands!

A typical day
I enjoy playing fetch and tug, and going for walkies around the neighborhood. I also have an arsenal of enrichment tools up my sleeve. If your pet prefers to snuggle, that's just what we'll do! My own dogs are spoiled rotten! They sleep in my bed and and get lots of time playing outside. I never let them off leash unless in a fenced in area. But I completely understand if this doesn't work for your pets. I will work with your pets on their level and tailor my care to their individual needs, and you can rest assured that I will follow your instructions precisely. I understand that your pets are your family members and I will love them as if they were my own!

Availability
I'm available for drop-in visits while you're away or I can be your daily walker while you're at work! I have pretty open availability, and can do drop-in visits or walkies between 7am and 9pm. My house sitting includes 8-12 hours overnight and a drop-in visit during the day. Please note that I limit my house sittings to a week or less - I miss snuggling with my own pups while I'm gone! A lot of pets do not need someone to stay overnight, so I also offer an "Bed and Breakfast" package, where I'll stay two hours in the evenings and come for an hour in the morning. I'd love to work with you to figure out what would best suit your pet!
