I recently retired from my job in public education, so I have plenty of time to love and pamper your pups, in our home or yours! I will do drop in visits at any type of pet, but I only board dogs in my home.

I will follow all instructions from the pet owner with meticulous care! Walking, feeding, cuddling, medication, or whatever else is needed to ensure your pet feels safe and loved. ❤ For boarding - we have 2 crates (only if needed/requested by the owner), tile/laminate floors, and a big fenced in backyard. We prefer small/medium sized dogs due to the height of our rear fence (3' chain link) - our own dogs are only 10 and 20 lbs but we have boarded large dogs with great success as well. We allow free roaming in the house but have baby gates should separation be necessary, and we will take them out in the backyard as often as they need! We let them sleep wherever they please, too. We are pretty pet-centric around here!

Let me know if your dog is timid or nervous, and whether they are more of a "mouth" dog or a "paw" dog. I want to them to know that they are safe with us. We also need to know if they are an escape risk so that we can be extra cautious if so.
A typical day
I know how important exercise is for dogs! With my own high energy pup we play lots of fetch and tug. My 14 year old son has a lot of energy and adores dogs so he will give them plenty of active playtime if they want it. I let the dog take the lead when it comes to playtime. When they are tired I can switch to belly-rubs and back scratches. We live against Exploration Green (Clear Lake Area not far from NASA), so we have a beautiful lake right behind our house with a one-mile path around it. For boarding- please no drop.off or pick up between 830 and 11:30 am on Sundays as we are church-goers.

"There are people with dogs, and there are 'dog people;' I am definitely the latter!" -Sooz 😊 I grew up with cats, gerbils, rodents and outdoor dogs, and have always loved animals. My entire adult life have had 1 (usually two) indoor dogs, from puppies to seniors. Currently we (my husband, 13 year old son and I) have 2 dogs (an older Chihuahua mix and a 3 year old Beagle), as well a ball python and several toads. :) We live in the Clear Lake area close to NASA. I carry Pet Care Insurance as well, so I can only have 5 guests at a time. I am happy to do drop in visits for ANY pet, but I only board dogs in my home. 🤗
