Pet care experience
I am a lifelong rescuer of dogs and cats...I have raised puppies, adopted senior dogs, and adopted six dogs from shelters in the last 25 years. Most of my dogs and I had basic training classes together. I love walking dogs, playing with them, and caring for them in general...and i am excellent at bathing and medicating pups of all ages....even the reluctant ones! I like to be outdoors, so I am happy to walk and play with the dogs in my care outside at least 3 times a day..

Susan is incredible and I'm so glad to have found someone my very anxious dog can feel comfortable with when I'm gone. Susan kept me updated (with pictures when Jade would cooperate) regularly and was kind and patient, even when Jade decided to turn up the dramatics. Would absolutely recommend for anyone with an anxious dog who needs a little extra love and care!

We have a very nervous beagle, Halley. Susan was fantastic with her. When I met Susan with Halley, I got a very positive feeling. My hunch was borne out. Halley felt very at home and enjoyed her usual sniffing walks. While she was happy to see us when we returned, it was clear that she had enjoyed her vacation away from us. You can trust Susan with your furry family members.

A typical day
I am happy to take dogs for long walks, cuddle with them, play games, give treats. My dog guests live in my home with me, just as my own dogs would. If they have any special activities they love, I'd like to know, so we can hopefully include those activities in their day..

I work from home, so I am generally available, weekdays and weekends. I am flexible about scheduling, and I welcome long term stays. I am also happy to accept last minute requests.
