Dogs will have fun walking, running, fetching balls, digging, chasing squirrels, and exploring on my five acre farm. Dog parents will love that the property is fully fenced with lots of shade amongst the trees and Sunny open space in the field. Please plan accordingly: no drop offs / pick ups before 7:00 a.m or after 7:00 p.m. There’s always fresh water available. I routinely pick up dog droppings and keep the grounds clean. I love to be outside and hanging out with the animals. I have a warm and cozy home where dogs receive lots of petting, belly rubs, cuddles, and treats (if permitted)! My pup Toby is young and loves romping with other dogs. My cat Krissy is dog shy and prefers to keep her distance from new comers. Cat Lewis is robust and enjoys playing with gentle dogs but will run if chased. Respectful dog guests are welcome. I have had dogs and cats all my life and love them all. I have house broken, trained, and cared for my pets through all stages of life.

Susan is the best! She did an exceptional job of caring for our dog when we were on vacation. She went above and beyond in every way and Spirit enjoyed her huge backyard, the woods, the dog pool, and playing with her dog! He definitely was on vacation too at Susan’s house!
Susan is wonderful. She is caring and compassionate and took good care of our dog, Autumn, while we were gone. Our old girl is nearly 16 and has special needs because she is afraid to be left alone, can't hear, and is not as agile as she once was. Susan sent us updates every day and we could see how well she was doing and that she was getting along fine with Susan's other animals. We hate leaving her but I think she really enjoyed her time there and we would have no problem leaving her with Susan again.
I highly recommend Susan for boarding. She took excellent care of our energetic two year old lab. Her home is warm and cozy and her yard is a dogs dream. Her land is fully fenced with lots of space to run, chase squirrels and play fetch. We received daily photos and videos and excellent communication. She even went above and beyond with a special treat for him on Christmas. Our pup came home happy and tired. I can not recommend her enough!

A typical day
Exploring my forests, chasing squirrels, fetching balls, hanging out on the porch, snuggling on the couch, going on “walk-about” around the property. I now have a dog pool which is very proven very fun.

We are up around 5:00 and enjoy morning “tea” together. We spend some time playing ball, walking around the “back 40," and jumping in the dog pool. Lots of treats and cuddles. A dog nap or two. Dog dinner at 5 followed by more ball time and walks through the forest. *****Please note, from July 10-August 3, I will working in Portland, leaving the house at 8:30 and returning at 3:30. Boarding your pups at this time is only suitable is they are behaved and used to being in the house for this stretch of time.
