I LOVE all animals!

Pet care experience

My family has had dogs and cats my entire life. My first dog that I could truly call my own was when I was 16 years old. Throughout my life I have taken care of other family member's/friend's animals. I've raised a total of 3 puppies and countless kittens/cats. I would constantly get complimented on how well behaved my dogs were and how wonderful my cats were/are. I also have experience in administering medication to cats and dogs as well as cutting cat and dog nails.

We are so happy we booked Susan to watch our kitty! She left such great notes and photos and we felt at ease being away for a few days.

Safety, trust & environment

With all of the dogs that I've had, and family and friend's dogs that I have watched, I've learned that walking dogs in parks and nature trails is so beneficial for for them and us! It works all of the senses and body and has such positive effects on their well-being as well as ours. Plenty of play-time with toys and interacting with other doggies is also important and something that is so good all the way around!

Information Susan S. would like to know about your pet

Dogs that I pet sit in my home will have to be cat friendly and crate trained. I am unable to watch your fur friend if they bark and have separation anxiety. I need to be able to crate new dogs until they get used to me and the cats when I have to run out for grocery shopping or errands for my parents. l live in an apartment complex and need to be respectful of my great neighbors!

A typical day

Minimum hour walk on walking trails in natural parks that I am very familiar with. Dog park on premise. Trips to lakes for swimming. Interactive playtime with myself and other fur friends.

I recently had to euthanize my dog Brookie, due to Mast Cell Tumor. She was given 6 months and I was successful in keeping her around for 2.5 years after she was diagnosed. I have mourned and taken time to heal. My feline companions have helped me push through. Now I am ready to give love to other animals while I try and decide what might be on the horizon for me with another canine friend.
