Pet care experience
I’m an experienced House/cat & dog sitter. I do it all over the United States, and now want to board or sit again in my home town when I’m not traveling for a sit. I’m especially good with shy animals. I’ve previously owned a boarding facility and self serve dog wash business. Additionally, I rescued and placed racing greyhounds for 10+years. I love dogs and cats equally and they seem to love me, too. I believe pets are happiest when they can remain in the home, but if boarding is needed, I try to provide as close to a home like setting as possible, while keeping them separate from my personal pets. They’ll get lots of loving! I always become sad when my sit has to end.

A typical day
I have a large fenced in yard that backs up to acres of field and woods. The bigger dogs would have their own large stall in my basement, but access to the family room for time with me, and outside quite often. There are plenty of trees to pee on and squirrels to chase. If they’re the only dog, they’d have more freedom to come and go from their stall to the open areas of the basement and family room. A small dog, that could fit through a cat door would be kept upstairs where he/she would have his/her own dog door to a smaller fenced in area for potty breaks, but can run in the big yard with supervision. The kitties that board with me have their own bedroom with toys and a human bed to sleep on, if they like, plenty of space to roam around, and windows to watch the birds and squirrels, and even their own firewood log to scratch if they have claws. The room has a door and a screen door, so the kitty can hear that I’m home and what’s going on, and I can hear and see what they might need. I usually do my Netflix binge watching with my boarder kitty(s) so he/she gets plenty of one on one if they want it.
