Pet care experience
I have been a dog owner my entire life. When I was a child, my most favorite place to be was sitting on the garage steps, stroking my dog's forehead over and over. For me, dogs have always been a source of joy, laughter, contentment, challenge, exercise, learning, patience, grounding, and companionship. I have gone to great lengths to always keep a dog by my side, including rescuing a stray in a foreign country and bringing her home on the airplane. I have cared for old dogs, puppies, big dogs (great dane as tall as me!) , little dogs (wiener dogs that tried to chew my hand off), impaired dogs (dogs needing vests or wagons to go potty), and a wide variety of breeds and personalities. I have tricked many a dog into taking their medicine:) I deeply understand the importance of YOUR dog in YOUR life. I want to support your ability to keep a dog in your life, even if your lifestyle does not always make this convenient.

Susan really has been a godsend for my wife Amanda and I, as we looked for someone to watch our golden retriever Willie during Amanda’s long work days. I recently relocated out of state, and could no longer hang out with Willie during Amanda’s 9am to 8pm shifts. Willie loves going over to Susan’s house and spending time with her and her dog, Foxy. Amanda drops Willie off on the way into work, and picks him up on the way home. Willie is always tuckered out after a long day of playing, and comes home happy. Thanks to Susan for being the best sitter a golden retriever puppy could ever ask for!
Susan and Hanna were amazing!!! My dog came home happy and tired out from lots of playing. I've tried multiple places/people, but I've finally found somewhere to keep coming back to with Susan and Hanna.
Susan and her daughter, Hanna were great. We have a 3.5 month puppy with lots of energy. They made sure that he got plenty of exercise, playtime and love. This was the first time we left him with a sitter but Susan sent photos and updates, which made us feel confident that our pup was getting the care we hoped for!! Thank you Susan and Hanna.
My mom is always caring, playful, and mindful with the pets she babysits for and she really makes an effort to build a friendship with the animals. I'm continually impressed with the variety of dogs she works with, including special needs and puppies.

I do need to know if a dog has any history of aggression towards humans or other dogs.
A typical day
Walks in any sort of weather! These could be relaxed sniffing walks, or training walks with more discipline and structure expected. Lots of ear scratching and belly rubbing (if your dog likes this.) I will gladly provide off leash exercise if your dog is accustomed to this and trustworthy. Fetch inside or outside of the house is a great way to release pent up energy.
