I have had dogs most of my life. I have an 3 year old Havanese named Kona who is 16pounds, and another Havanese (born 9/8/21) named Mara who is 12 pounds. I also have havanese brothers (dob 10/23/23). I adore Havanese, can you tell? I have cared for my mom’s cats, and I grew up with cats a standard poodle, and Boxers. Over the years I’ve had fish, rabbits, hamsters, and even took care of someone’s bird. Kona and Mara take their job of guarding the house from strangers seriously. Due to this they are always gated at drop off and pick up. They do settle down and do well with other dogs,it’s people they’re unfriendly with. Dogs are given love and attention throughout the day. I do work in-office Monday, Wednesday and Thursday but am home the rest of the week. Holidays I’m always off and home.

Always a great experience
She was great! Came out in rather bad weather to check on the cats and agreed to set my sink dripping because I forgot.

I treat pets like members of the family. They are played with, loved, fed ,given free access to water, and lots of time outside as needed. When I’m caring for pets in other peoples homes I try to follow the schedule that the owner sets out, and give the pet affection as tolerated. I talk to pets constantly, whether it’s in my home in their home or out for a walk

How dog gets along with other dogs , crate training, and for females spayed status. I like to know where they are used to sleeping, and how often they normally eat.
A typical day
We like to walk in the neighborhood, there are serval side streets we can vary the walk on. When the dogs go outside in the fenced area I sit on the back steps with them. Dogs are welcome on my living room furniture. We also play fetch and tug of war.

Availability
Dogs are treated like my own. I supervise closely and if needed take dogs outside in shifts. Unrelated dogs are never left together unsupervised. I make use of gates as needed. We like to talk walks in my quiet neighborhood. I work in the office 3 days a week, Mon, Wed and TH .
