Pet care experience
Follow us on Instagram to see photos & videos of all the sweet dogs we’ve taken care of! —> AuntSuziesHouse Please read entire profile before booking! My husband James is a co-owner of this business, and will be equally part of the interactions with dogs and their owners. Our meet and greets take place in our backyard. We do not provide tours of the inside of our home as it is not only stressful for the dogs we are currently boarding but also difficult to manage the chaos that it ensues. You are able to see photos of the inside of our home on our Instagram page. I know how hard it is to leave your dog, especially with someone you’ve never met! We are here to ensure your dog will be safe and happy, and you’ll be getting photo/video updates throughout the day to put your mind at ease!! We do NOT make your dog sleep in a crate at night (unless they prefer), they sleep with us in our bedroom. We do need to separate the dogs when we leave the house for their safety, so if they are crate trained, they will be crated. If not, they need to be okay behind a closed bedroom door. We have an epileptic dog, so if you need someone with dog seizure experience, unfortunately we have a lot of it. Fortunately, we can take care of your epi dog! ***please note*** We do board multiple dogs at once, so it is our number one priority to keep animals in our care safe and for this reason, we absolutely cannot accept dogs with any type of aggression. This includes resource guarding. Also, we cannot board excessively vocal dogs. This includes barking and whining. Drop off and pick up times are in between 8 AM and 8 PM Any hours outside of that will incur an early or late drop off/pick up fee of $20, as long as it is a reasonable time. Overnight stays are for 24 hour slots. Pickup must be within the 24 hour frame. Pickup after the time period will result in a partial charge for extended stay. Example: drop off on Friday at 11 am for a 3 night stay, will have a pick up time of no later than 11 am on Monday. If pickup is at 5 pm Monday, there will be a day care charge.
Reviews
Susan was very accommodating as we needed a last minute dog sitter and had to pick our dog up late due to a snow storm. She sent lots of updates and communicated well!
As always, Susan is the best and Luna just loves spending time there! I am always so happy and relieved to be able to drop her off and know she’s going to have so much fun!
I can’t thank Susan enough for removing our big boy from a less than ideal pet sitting situation, she welcome him with open arms and sent timely updates. We appreciate the timely response to the last minute request!
Jax had a great time during his visits at Susan’s house! She handled his high energy very well, and he came home a happy and tired pup every time. She also sent videos and photos. Will definitely use her and James again next time I need it!

We have a backyard that we will let the dogs out for potty & play. We do walks when we can. We make sure to feed the dogs all separately and toys will be played with under supervision. If there are treats you would prefer I give your dog, please let me know!

Information Susan J. would like to know about your pet
No howlers or dogs that bark or whine excessively please. We do have work calls during the week. No huskies or husky mixes, sorry. No dogs with resource guarding or any aggression towards other dogs. If your dog gets aggressive with another dog, I will either have to keep your dog in a separate area or end their stay early and have them transferred to another sitter. I take dog aggression very seriously. No humpers please. This tends to cause discomfort for the other dogs in our care. Please let me know if your dog gets destructive if left alone.
A typical day
We let the dogs out into the yard several times a day for potty and supervised play. Walks are usually possible during lunch time, or dinner time.

Availability
We are currently both home full time. We do prefer that your dog is crate trained, as we do need to separate the dogs when we do leave the house. We are okay with not crating when left alone if you are confident they will not get destructive. If we do have to leave the house, we do have to separate them into rooms with the door closed as they cannot be left together unsupervised so we ask that they are okay with being behind a closed door and will not cause damage to the doors.
