Hi, thank you for taking the time to read my profile. For the last 45 years, I have cared, loved, and expanded my family through the adoption of dogs (both rescued & purebreds). As a retired nurse I thrive on caring for others and have always enjoyed the company of the four-leggeds. Over the past 5 years I have enjoyed being the Grandma to my daughter's dog, whom we recently lost earlier this year. In missing him terribly and as our family heals through the loss of our dear boy, I discovered DogVacay in hopes that in caring for other dogs I can once again enjoy the company of man's best friend. This Grandma is ACTIVE! I am an avid hiker and enjoy long walks about the bay. My home is ideal for any dog as it is one story with a completely fenced in large (by new housing standards) backyard! As I am retired my days are my own and I look forward to having the opportunity to spend it with your beloved pet.

She was able to take my pup on short notice. He's high anxiety and she was aware of this but still agreed to watch him the first night. Cancelled the second night because his anxiety was too much for sitter to handle. Wouldn't recommend for dogs with anxiety but she's great for well adjusted dogs.
Susan is the best dog sitter ever. She walked Mackie a ton ( which he is used to) and she gave him so much love, I was afraid he wouldn't want to come home with us. It gives me peace of mind knowing that he is with someone who cares so much when I'm gone.
Susan was very kind and caring to my dog. If your dog needs 1-1 attention she is the person to go to. Thanks for a great job Susan! ?
