Pet care experience
I’m a Bay Area native who grew up with a mischievous Maltese. I have been around dogs all my life and am now a failed foster turned owner of two well behaved 2 year old chihuahua mixes. I am a strong believer in positive reinforcement and have great success doing behavioral training with all kinds of dogs. Sitting + Boarding - Before sitting, I will ask about your dog's day to day routine to understand how often and when he should eat, be walked, or taken outside. I'd also like to understand their energy level to gauge what activities we should be doing - dog parks, or slow walks. I live in a house with a fenced yard in San Mateo and currently have very flexible hours. We walk our dog everyday so you can insure your dog will have daily walks. If it’s sunny the dogs are allowed to run in and out of the yard as they please so they will never be bored inside.
Reviews
I have boarded my maltipoo, Tofu, with Susan every time I have had to fly out of town. She is very good about giving updates on how he is doing and sends me pictures everyday. One time she let me know he seemed to have an upset stomach (probably because I gave him some of my lunch oops) and that she would be feeding him chicken and rice until he felt better - with my approval of course. Every time I go to pick Tofu up he is the happiest he’s ever been! Highly recommend her!

My dogs are crate trained and love sleeping in their crates at night. I have sat dogs who are used to sleeping with their owners, they will sleep with us. I will ask you ahead of time how your dog likes to sleep. I want to make sure we emulate their home routine as much as possible.

Information Susan C. would like to know about your pet
How are they with other dogs? Do they have any triggers? What is their day to day, weekly schedule like? Do your dogs have any dietary restrictions?
A typical day
I typically feed the dogs their breakfast and take them out to potty in the morning. Around lunchtime, I take them for a walk around the neighborhood. We usually get some fetching and games in throughout the day. Then it’s another official potty break before the bedtime routine.

My schedule is very flexible as I work from home. My dogs are fed twice a day and walked at least once a day. I will ask you for your feeding, exercise, and bedtime routine so we can make sure to keep the right schedule for your dog.
