Susan BG's Sit & Stay
Pet care experience
Let's face it, our pets are furry children to us! Furry Child Sitter/Boarder/Visitor Rule #1 - Only one household of dogs at a time. Only who lives together, stays together! Rule #2 - I insist on a Meet & Greet prior to the date of stay. Rule #3 - I cannot watch cats because I am allergic to their dander. Holidays, School Breaks and weekends book up first at my house. Please try to book in advance. If you live within 9 miles of me, I could stay overnights in your home. With Susan BG's Sit & Stay, you get personalized loving attention for your pups! I can Board your dogs in my home, but restrict to only one household of dogs at a time for safety reasons. Is your pet up to date on vaccinations (rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper), flea prevention, tick treatments, etc.? This is to ensure a safe environment for your and other owners’ pets. Another option is for me to stay overnights at your home. I also can visit your home to let them out into your yard while you are at work. This is my Full-Time job, so I need to schedule in advance. Rarely can I squeeze things in last minute. *Have a Dog that needs more attention? I can provide transport to vet/groomer for appointments, or even just playtime with your furry kid! Does your pup panic during thunderstorms when left alone? I can cuddle, comfort & reassure that they are safe until it passes, or you get home. I can even work on reinforcing dog training your furry child(ren). I live in Marietta, off Hurt Road & Austell Road, near the Cobb Hospital. Are you within 9 miles? I have experience with Senior dogs and some with health issues. At the Meet & Greet, I will want to know best practices of what helps them the most. I don't leave the dogs alone for more than 2-4 hours. I am home most of the time during the week. My Husband and teenage son help with the dogs at home on weekends and evenings. I have a fully fenced in back yard that gives your pups freedom to sniff around, explore, chase chipmunks, birds and squirrels to their heart's content!
Reviews
I love Susan. Rico seems to love the whole family. They taught him how to use the doggy door and he gets the quality time he would at home. I worried about him being away but he seems fine. He does the same silly things with me at home when he is here which let’s me know that he is comfortable here and feels right at home. You’d definitely be missing if you didn’t book with Mrs.Susan.
Maggie absolutely loved her stay with Susan and her family! We will definitely be booking another stay in the future!
This was the first we have left our dog with anyone out side of family. From the meet and greet to the daily updates, Susan put my anxiety at rest and I was able to fully enjoy our getaway. Totally recommend her!
Everything was perfect. She gave shabba the perfect treatment. He had the time of his life.

I stay overnights at clients homes for house sitting if the house is within 9 miles of mine. My family has a fenced yard at our home, where my Husband and son help in feeding and playing with the dogs.

Information Susan B. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog need to take any medications? Does your dog have any allergies? Are there any issues with thunderstorms, & if so, what works best? Any food aggression or toy aggression? When on a leash, is there aggression towards people/dogs? Does your dog like to dig? Is he/she an escape artist? Does your dog need to be kept in a crate to stay out of trouble when left alone for an hour or two? If an excessive chewer, what bones or toys work best? Tell me how smart your furry child is! Brag to me about the tricks & behaviors he/she does! I look forward to a Meet & Greet to see what cues to give your baby!
A typical day
For the safety and comfort of my canine guests, I only allow multiple dogs from the same home to share boarding in my house. Please respect my policy, for it is to avoid unnecessary anxiety for me as well as your fur kids! Since a "Work Force Reduction" eliminated my position, I chose dog sitting as a new career in 2015. I will only be away from home for four hours or less at a time. I hope your dogs are allowed to jump up on the furniture. We like them to snuggle with us on the sofa. We have an Extra Large Doggie Door to the backyard with panels to close it off during inclement weather. We towel dry the dogs when they come in, so we close it off to avoid muddy paws on the bed/sofa. Our backyard has a 6' wooden privacy fence around 1/3 acre with shade trees, & lots of squirrels/chipmunks to chase! If your fur baby likes car rides, we can go to drive throughs or they can come with to pick up/drop off my son at school. If you like, I can transport your furry child to your vet or groomer while staying with us (please make payment arrangements with them for their services separately). I love all breeds of dogs, (but have never met a hairless dog.) I have walked many smaller dogs, but most of my experience & knowledge is of mid-size and larger dogs. I love to cuddle with dogs, so I hope you allow them on the furniture (after all, it does have "fur" in the name!) Lol

Being a Dog Sitter is my only job. I drive my son to and from school, but the rest of my days are all about the dogs!
