Dogs love me because I'm a very trainable human. In my last place my upstairs neighbor's dog, Sister, knows if she barks, when her mom is at work, I would come get her and take her on a fun run with me and Lala. The dog across the hall, Faly, liked to come over for breakfast with Lala and they go over to her house for dinner. I'm a writer and spend most of my work day at home. Dogs know that a request for a walk, a potty break or a belly rub is a welcome distraction for me.
