For 15 years, I cared for and loved my extremely reactive black lab mix. She and I learned together how to deal with and help alleviate her fears of new people and dogs. She's gone now but from her I have the skills and knowledge to care for nervous dogs and to work on fears. I also completed an apprenticeship with Pat Miller from Peaceable Paws. From her, I learned how to read dog body language, safely walk many different kinds of dogs and train dogs in a positive way to keep their minds stimulated. I regularly dog sat for a number of friends before starting to do it professionally. I am committed to a safe, calm environment for dogs with sufficient exercise, good food and soft places to sleep.
