My wife and I adopted Tommy, a mini-pinscher / chihuahua mix , a few months ago (Male, just over 1 years old), and are very much enjoying our time. We are considering getting a second dog and would like Tommy to grow up interacting with other dogs, so we'd like to use this experience as a way to warm up and learn what it's like to have a second dog and get Tommy used to it. I had a family dog, Danny, a small Maltese that I got for my birthday. I trained and grew up with him all his life, and saw him through his sicker and older days so have experience with medication and taking care of older / sick dogs. My wife has a flexible schedule and usually works from home and on the weekends, we are in and out of the home in 2-4 hour intervals. We live next to a park and very close to a dog park, so we normally take Tommy there almost daily, 1-2 times a day (Our dog is pee-pad trained, but we can go out as necessary). Tommy likes to run and while may be timid at beginning, can be very friendly (we've seen him grow friendlier since he first was adopted). Recently, my wife has been going on long walks (1hour+) with Tommy so your dog can join us if you'd like! We hope that you'll entrust us with your dog and am excited for Tommy to meet new friends!
