Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Summer! I'm a junior college student attending Notre Dame of MD University. I've had dogs/cats of various breeds and sizes for my whole life and love animals, especially big dogs who love running. I'm an animal rights activist who follows a vegan lifestyle! I live in a large apartment near the Hopkins campus with a huge fenced-in backyard. I'm available all day, every day/night from May 8th to May 21st, then again from May 31st to June 18th. Past June 18th, I'm available afternoons, evenings and nights. I'm open to dropping in for checks and walks, having your dog spend the day with me, or doing an overnight stay at either your house or mine. I look forward to spending time with your pet- Thanks for considering me!

Summer is a super patient person who genuinely took the time to get to know my dog. She’s a quick thinker and can handle nearly any problem that comes her way and I trust her with my dog more than anyone else.
Summer has always loved animals and has been rescuing frogs and turtles her whole life. She is very responsible and punctual, she says what she does and does what she says. I would highly recommend her.
Summer dog sits for my Shih Tzu mix all the time since I work long hours. She is very responsible and has a key to my home so she can walk my pup during the day, feed him dinner and another walk. She disposes of poops in doggie boxes in my neighborhood. She spends time in my home playing with my pup and making sure he is worn out before she leaves. Thanks Summer!!

I would like to know how the dog interacts with other dogs (i.e. is friendly, aggressive) and what your dog does and doesn't like (ways they like to be pet or not pet). I'd also like to know any instructions for feeding/bathroom breaks, or any other important patterns that I should be aware of. I'm open to caring for any breed or size!
A typical day
My apartment has a huge fenced-in yard; the area I live in has sidewalks and a handful of fields/large stretches of grass that are ideal for playing and walking. I love being outdoors, so if your dog likes the outdoors too, we would be outside for a pretty big portion of the day! My apartment is dog-friendly so we can always come upstairs to take a break and/or a nap!!
