Pet care experience
I am a Public Health Specialist with a previous career in veterinary medicine. I have over 10 years of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician with a focus in emergency and critical care. I am not a full time tech anymore but still like to get my fill part time. Animals have always been a part of my life. I am very responsible and love to meet new pets and spend time caring for them. I have a somewhat flexible work schedule and can check in on your pets every 4-6 hours through the day and stay in your home with them in their own environments, which I believe is a much better option to a boarding facility. Safety and the well being of your pets is my utmost concern, I treat other pets as my own and spoil them just as much. I have a very friendly, well behaved 5 year old golden retriever of my own who enjoys coming with me when I house/ pet sit when possible and he loves to meet other dogs and cats. *He does not always have to come with me if your pets don't like other animals.

Summer took great care of our pup while we were away. It was nice not having to worry, he was in great hands.
Summer did an amazing job, and our cats were super calm around her and when we came home. One cat requires daily medical care and he was relaxed even though he's not fond of strangers. Thank you Summer!
Summer is just great with our high energy, sometimes crazy 80 pound dog Weatherby. She make sure he has love and care and exercise. We love that she takes him for walks or hiking unleashed like he is used to. She also brings Ragnar, her very lovable golden retrieve for Weatherby to play with, which helps him from getting too mopy while we're away. She left our home looking great, and is very trustworthy and conscientious. Highly recommend!

A typical day
I love taking dogs out on fun walks, hiking and to the beach when applicable. Exercise, enrichment and stimulating activity is absolutely essential in providing a high quality of life for pets.
