After rescuing a 4 week old puppy, my vet advised me to keep him, although he warned me of how taking care of a puppy that young is similar to caring for an infant child. After weeks of bottle feeding him milk substitute and 24/7 supervision, I finally found out he was a Labrador Great Dane mix. Now at a year and a half old, Romo is about 90 pounds, the biggest of his small siblings and surpassing who was the largest dog in the family for the past 2 years, his 3 year old sister Ophelia, the pit bull mix. I have experience exercising and taking care on my own of one medium sized dog, Ophelia, and one large young puppy, in addition to walking and helping care for my families other 3 pets. I also have experience with senior dogs, my mothers dog I have cared for many times while she's out of town is 13 years old. She has Cushings disease, and needs extra care a lot of the time. After raising 2 puppies on my own from a young age, I myself have become an overprotective precautionary doggy mother. I even applied to Rover after using their services for myself with Romo when he was too little to be left alone for more than a few hours. I can will care for your dog as I would want my own two pups cared for. I won't let your dog eat whatever he finds on the ground without even giving it a second thought, because I wouldn't let my dogs do so.
