The Pack away from the Pack

Pet care experience

When your dog is staying with us, they are family. Hailey was the first dog I house sat for when I was 17. I was hooked. My time in the military had me missing spending time training puppies and cuddling with yellow labs on the couch. After the military I have been honored to be a part of a service animal team for over 10 years. Having a mini Aussie has added much energy to my home. We often have overnight canine guests. We adore having puppies. We know it can be hard to get a good night sleep when they are so young and we enjoy giving people a good night's sleep while w care for them. We have crates, aka dog caves, for those who use them. And lots of cozy places to take a naps. Walks to the waterfall are often a favorite, or even a pup cup with the hoomans permission. While I'm not a professional dog trainer, I have worked with my own dogs and other to get ready for the Canine good citizen test, as well as Public Access tests. Aggressive dogs should look elsewhere.

Sue is the absolute best!!! She has now watched our one year old corgi multiple times, including while we were away on vacation for 8 days. She messaged us daily with pics, videos, and updates about all of the fun they were having. I was so nervous about leaving our puppy for vacation before we found Sue, but I will never be worried about leaving him again as long as Sue is available! My dog seemed like he felt he had been on vacation too—happy to see us but a little sad his time with her was over, lol! We would give Sue more than five stars if it were possible 😊

Sue was great with Daisy! Daisy really liked visiting and playing with Sue and Peave. Sue kept us apprised of how Daisy was doing and I can tell she really loves our pup. Thanks, Sue!

Sue is absolutely incredible! Our two pugs love when she comes over and she takes care of them like they are her own. I would highly recommend her services.

Sue was fantastic! Our Annie doesn't like strangers but she loved Sue from the start. She got on the couch n laid in her lap on the first meeting. When she came by after we got home Annie met her at the door tail wagging. I highly recommend Sue She was great with Annie & our cat that I think grew while we were gone

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced in Yard. Wooden fence on 3 sides and a metal fence on the forth side where their is a gap for added safety. Some small dogs may need to be closely monitored if they are escape artists. I typically am outside with the dogs while they are outside. Especially to play fetch. We have a tether to use in the front yard as well. I recently installed a security and camera system both inside and outside. One is placed in in the special room made up for any of our boarding dogs. Our little Doggo BnB

Information Sue J. would like to know about your pet

Both the hooman of the house and the dog of the house like to know if there are any allergies or special medical problems we need to be aware of. If there is any type behavior that the dogs are reactive to. And most impawtant, what kind of treats are they allowed to have.

A typical day

We like to go on walks or hikes. We have dog puzzles to work thier snouts and brains. Some of the dogs that have stayed with me have even made their own art work with clay paw prints or paint. We never underestimate the fun to be had with Frisbees, balls and stuffies.

I recently lost one service animal from old age, and have trained up a new one. Dogs are the main focus of my life. Occasionally have to be out of the house for more than 2 hours at a time when I have doggie house guest, but it is not often and I can discuss this further if you are concerned. We like sending pictures of our time together as often as we can. If I'm staying in your home for more than a check in or a walk, please know that I will need to bring my service animal with me.
