Pet paradise 5***** quality rating

Pet care experience

Dogs have been a huge part of my entire life. They are family! I truly enjoy my time with them, walking, playing, and caring for them. My days are filled with loving and working with dogs. Your pet will have the best possible care during their time with me. I have raised and trained Newfoundlands and Mastinos for companion dog certification and adopted Mutts to love on and give forever homes to. My fenced, and groomed yard is 1/3 of an acre with lots of shade trees and lush grass. I live in a very quiet neighborhood which is great for walks (weather permitting). I will tailor the care needed for your pet! Some training will be offered based on the dog and owner's needs (please ask for additional details). My experience includes animal health care, bandaging, administering meds, caring for special needs pets, and training. Alternatively, I will make an exception if you wish to have your pet be the only one in my care. Additional services offered: beginning companion dog training, leash training, and basic grooming (please ask for fees). Looking forward to meeting you and your pet(s)!

We are in the area once a year, camping at Silver Lake and we are so glad we found Sue a few years ago to take care of our dog while we do family fun stuff, where we can’t bring our pup. We highly recommend her.

Sue is fantastic. We were spoiling the past by having a dog care person that pretty much grew up with our dogs. We moved and had gotten new dog so with a long trip coming (in May) we were starting from scratch. We found Sue and were delighted. She is loving and caring, communicated well with us and is very good with it animals. She knows how to handle dogs. Our dog received home like love and care with plenty of play and walks. Her house is set up around caring for dogs and she has an excellent yard area for them too. She is there all the time and she's very thorough. I just don't think I can say enough nice things about Sue. Because of Sue, we were able to fully relax in our trip and not worry about our dog at all. We knew he was having a good time with Sue. I highly recommend.

Sue was wonderful with Maizie and very communicative with me — obviously an experienced and caring dog person with a safe, fantastic yard for my high energy pup to play. Highly recommend!!

Safety, trust & environment

Just as safety was the priority with my children so is my priority with any animals in my care. I understand that they are family and need companionship, playtime, and walks, and are individuals who may need extra care, medications, or unique routines. The fenced yard is 5' high with double gates for safety.

Information Sue H. would like to know about your pet

What are your dog's favorite activities? It's necessary to know how your dog(s) behave with other dogs and cats as there will likely be others staying with me. Please provide specific details on leash handling, special needs, etc. Dogs must be housebroken. Current vaccination record required. Please discuss any medical conditions i.e. allergies, seizures, arthritis, etc. I will send a questionnaire for you to complete on each pet.

A typical day

We will spend time playing in the huge yard, taking walks in the very quiet neighborhood as well as some forest trails. There is a doggy door that allows dogs to come in and out at their leisure. Playing fetch occurs as often as possible. Napping on one of the dog hammocks outside, on the couch and chaise lounge inside, or one of 5 doggie beds all ensure 5-star comfort. If you prefer your pet(s) not to be on furniture no worries. (Companion dog training optional-additional charge).
