Pet care experience

I am a rescue volunteer and have fostered over 700 dogs and puppies over the last 10+years. I also have 3 little dogs of my own and am used to taking care of 5-6 little dogs at a time. (and enjoy it!) I also have a strong maternal instinct! My kids are grown up, I cared for my Mom for a few years before she passed away and I was a teacher for 24 years, I now need an outlet for caring for and loving someone or something! I would be happy to love and care for your little dog or puppy for you while you work or go away on a trip. I am very experienced and have the "set up" to watch not fully inoculated puppies and am also experienced at training my foster pups. My 3 little dogs are friendly and older so they won't bother your little dog if he/she doesn't want to be bothered. Don’t worry, I will take wonderful, loving care of your baby! PS: Please be sure your little one is wearing a collar or harness with an ID tag on it. No one intends to lose their dog. but working with a rescue we see this heartbreak all the time. and please be sure your baby is up to date on all basic vetting and inoculations. I am happy to administer flea & tick and heart worm prevention while they are here, if they are due for them. Just bring them in a baggie with their name and desired date on it..

My dog has had the privilege of staying with Sue numerous times over the past 5 years. She is loved and so well cared for when she is there. Sue is the best caregiver.

Sue is so amazing with my grumpy old chihuahua! I know she knows how to handle his anxiety. So I’m never stressed about going out of town.

Sue is so amazing with my anxious little chihuahua. She always takes the best care of him and reassures me that he’s doing well.

What a great experience! It was like overnight sleepaway camp for our dog. So many pictures and kind words! Highly recommend!!

I walk my little friends several times a day, some short walks and some longer depending on the weather. I have lots of chew and stuffed squeaky toys to throw and enjoy cuddling on the couch with them in the evening or taking a little nap with them in the afternoon. I have a neighbor friend who comes over daily to visit with the pups and walk with us. Two or three times a week I give them a light tooth and fur brushing, if they don’t mind. Along with cuddles! In the summer I will sometimes takes them on my fenced in deck boat to hang out.

I love to doggie sit for the smaller dogs/puppies. or big dog puppies up to 15 lb (any breed or mix. I love rescue dog)s and o don't mind some daily brushing! I do require all our visiting little dogs and puppies to be up to date on all of their vaccinations and spay or neutered, if over 6 months age. (Please bring a copy of your little one's vet records and let the let know it's ok to speak to me if needed, hopefully not of course but best to err on the side of caution.) Please bring their food (I have plenty, but it avoids upset tummies) any necessary meds and monthly preventives, (flea and tick and Heart Worm) if due. A little blanket that smells like home can be comforting to them. (cut up an old quilt?). We have plenty of toys and bones. I just want our little friends to be healthy and happy while visiting with us.

A typical day

We live on a lake, on a very quiet dead end street with a perfect half mile walk around a circle. Longer walks are around the lake. I have a bucket of dog toys on each floor of my 3 level home. I also have a wrap around deck with plexie glass installed around the bottom of the railings to allow our dogs to go in and out all day if they like and sit in the sun or run around on the deck or just bark at the geese!

I teach dance one evening a week, and I host a dance twice a month. I also hold occasional private lessons in my lower level of the townhouse. Most of the time I am home, except for running out now and then to the gym or to the store. So I have plenty of time to hang out with your baby keeping them company and cuddling and playing with them oh and walking them. Lol
