I speak dog, and we have fun!!

Pet care experience

I am there to insure the safety and euphoria of your pet. I often see animals' needs not being met by humans. They are often communicating but ppl aren't listening. I treat pets with the respect they deserve and give them lots of love. I had a dog for 16 yrs and another for 17 yrs. I've been petsitting for decades and have volunteered at a few animal rescue organizations, including fostering rescue dogs that haven't found a home yet and animals evacuated from fires in California. I sit all types of animals and have also hung out with wolves. I will treat your pet like he/she is my own and will gladly send photos of us having a blast. I strive toward getting dogs involved and excited about things, according their personal needs- playing ball, going for a walk, belly rubs, etc... I like for it to be an extraordinary experience.

I was very pleased with my dog Flynns stay with Sue. I received so many updates and photos. So happy. He lived in her home as if he were part of the family.

Sending our pup to stay at Sue’s house is like sending him on his own vacation. Sue is very attentive to his special needs and provides daily updates and is very easy to get in touch with. We are repeat customers and intend to be for as long as she will have us.

I can’t say enough good things about Sue! She was so incredibly accommodating and patient with my dog. My dog, Sadie, was uncharacteristically anxious and scared on our vacation. She was having a really hard time separating from me at all. Sue took the time to get her acclimated with the new environment and allowed me into her home to give Sadie time to adjust and get comfortable. She played calming music for Sadie and gave her her favorite treat- peanut butter. By the time we picked Sadie up, she was very happy and more back to herself. Sue gave Sadie so much love and attention the whole time I was at the aquarium. I was able to have a good time, knowing my dog was in good hands. Sue kept me updated on Sadie’s progress with texts, pictures and videos. I am so very grateful and would recommend Sue to anyone seeking a great pet sitter!

I don't have any pets, so it's okay if your dog doesn't get along with dogs or cats. I have been dogsitting for decades and have never had a dog get away from me. I can either sit at my home or yours.

Information Sue A. would like to know about your pet

Aggressive toward humans or other pets? If alpha, pls explain tendencies. No breed preferences. I had the most wonderful harmless pitbull for 17 yrs. Fleas? Any ailments? Anything contagious? Let me know if they are not protected against ticks because that will affect where we walk. I live separately from them but have seniors in the same bldg so I can’t take in loud dogs. Let me know if you have any special requests. The more I know about your pet, the better their experience will be.

A typical day

I like to make sure they get enough stimuli (playing, meeting people, going to the pet store for fun, hiking, playing go find it, beach, hikes without a lot of people, massages, beaching, car rides, watching animal shows on TV, I can play guitar or piano for your pet, etc...) Whatever makes them happy! I also have CDs to help them relax and sleep when you are away.
