Pet care experience
Hey my name is Stuart and I live in the Blue Ridge mountains, with my 7 year old, gentle Weimaraner and roommates. I just love dogs and have raised two of my own from pups, so I have worked with all stages of a dogs life. I understand how to potty train a puppy, how to capture and hold a dog's attention, and just how firm to be with any dog I meet. My philosophy with my boy, and with your pets, is that I am here to serve that animal, and not the other way around. I love hiking and I know all the trails in the Boulder county area, so if that's a go, let's do this! If your pet needs some special training I can work to achieve your goals. And, if you have a sensitive or older dog I can provide loving support and companionship.

Stuart is a special man hosting qualities of leadership, compassion and extraordinary patience. His tender and vibrant relationship with his dog, Granite - reminds me of Timmy and Lassie (except Stuart is quite a bit older than Timmy and Granite is not a collie.) Am I dating myself? My wife and I occasionally host our grand dog, Lox - who has a tendency to be quite shy around new people. With Stuart, she just seems to feel at home right away. Insofar as trustworthy and responsible - you've got the right man in Stuart!
I've known Stuart for years and spent plenty of time with him and his pets. He truly cares for animals and enjoys them, and is respectful of people, their property, and their pets alike. I trust him to do a lot more than 'the minimum' for a pet and see to it that they are well cared for.

I like to ask where your dog lies on the submissive/dominant spectrum, and if they have any particular things that they were not socialized to in youth that would cause them to get upset.
A typical day
I like to take my dog to the local dog park, trails in the Boulder open space, and on adventures to the mountains. All of these would be possible. Or I am happy to invent games and show playful attention to your dog in your home or yard if you have dogs that don't leave the property.

I'm self employed in tech, so I am extremely flexible to visit, walk and adventure with your pets. I can work from anywhere so it's easy for me to care for your animals in your home, short term, or longer term. I don't board in my own house per agreement with my roommates.
