Pet care experience

I am skilled at handling dogs and am absolutely consistent with routines and training. I only use "Positive" techniques with dogs. My current dogs are wonderful and enjoy meeting other dogs. I am home full-time and devote my time to the dogs. I will pick-up your dog(s) within a 30 mile radius of my residence for free when they stay with me for a minimum of two days. If the stay is shorter than 2 days, my pick-up/drop-off fee is $25.00 within 30 miles. Rover bases their fee on "nights." So, in essence a two day stay can be one night. Here is the scenario: If I begin watching a dog at 8 a.m. on Friday and the dog is not picked-up until 6 p.m. on Sunday, I watched the dog for two full days and only get paid for one. To be fair, I will adjust my daily fee to account for 24 hour periods and will adjust on an individual basis. Just ask me what the adjusted daily rate will be for your particular stay. My 15 year old dog has to take medication and I am skilled at giving medicines (liquid, pill/tablet form and injectables). I can accommodate toys, pillow, beds, and other personal items that will be used by your dog to make them comfortable. I have no issues with dogs on FURniture or beds. I always have fresh bowls of water available. You will receive emails/texts with photos of your pet's stay and can call me at anytime to receive news of the stay. The bottom line is that your dog will be treated as well as mine are and mine are living in a dream world.

Stu is an amazingly responsible and resourceful dog owner. He uses only positive rewards and really considers a dog's well-being when choosing toys, treats, and quality of life for his furry friends. He has a good intuition for dog behavior and makes safety a priority.

There is no one better than Stu to care for your dogs. He truly cares for their comfort and happiness. He is the biggest dog lover around. I never let anyone but Stu take care of my dogs.

Stu went above and beyond my expectations for a dog sitter! My dogs truly had a vacation getting to stay there. They got to play with Stu's dogs, Domino got to swim in the pond, and were pampered the whole time! They had so much fun that when I came to pick them up, one of my dogs didn't want to leave! I got multiple photos/videos which made me at ease while I was away. I will definitely recommend/rebook with Stu!

Stu is a true dog lover. He cares for his own pets responsibly and has dog sat for many friends and family pets. He has taken dogtraining classes and continues to study theory about dog nutrition, training and general care. Stu is good with dogs of varying temperments. I can not think of a better person to care for dogs

Information Stu L. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know if there is any food aggression or quirks that your dog has, like that they do not like their feet touched, people wearing hats, etc. I especially want to know what their daily routine is and what makes them happy. Please let me know if they have a fear of thunder or loud noises (fireworks, motorcycles, etc).

A typical day

I have a fenced 1/2 acre yard with a clean water pond that is perfect for the pack to have fun. I supervise the dogs while they are playing outside. I also hike with the dogs on the C&O Canal.
