I have had always had dogs and other pets, I grew up on a farm, so I'm comfortable with most animals. I currently have two dogs of large and medium size. I have lots of experience walking large dogs and am not afraid to walk less than perfectly behaved pets. I volunteered at Animal Friends in Pittsburgh, PA as a dog walker, where they provided basic training on how to walk dogs in crowded areas and how to discourage unwanted behaviors.
