I was nervous initially in using a pet sitter service. In the past, we have used kennels and friends. But, I decided to try it, because of the length of time that we were away for the holiday and I didn’t like the idea of kenneling for 7 days.
I felt much better during the meet and greet when I met Steve and his dog guests. It is evident in both conversation and actions ...

Home full-time - medium fenced yard

I live in a big house with a fenced yard in a quiet neighborhood with lots of open space and parks nearby. Your dog will have free roam of my main floor, and I let them out during the day frequently.
I work from home so your dog be with constant company while in my care. I go for a 20-40 minutes walk with all dogs every morning and every evening. I also let them ...

What Steve would like to know about your dog

I'd like you bring the dog by my house for a short visit to get to know your dog and let him/her know this is a fun place to visit. During this time I'll evaluate aggressive tendencies or extreme shyness, and no worries I will give them time to adjust to the surroundings and understand angst that comes with meeting someone new, I want to make sure your dog will be comfortable in my house, with my dog, with my kids.
I prefer crate trained dogs, I will not force your dog into a crate, will work on training them if you ask.

Your dog will have some separation anxiety because you are gone and he/she is not at home; please bring a chew toy from home to help with that.
Also if you are flying to your destination and thus packing bags; dogs understand what packed bags mean and may decide they have other ideas - I advise you bring your dog to my house before you pack a single bag. Also do not plan to drop your dog off on the way to the airport. Drop them off 8 hours before you leave.
