Pet care experience
Dogs are great companions, and fun to be around. I enjoying walking, hiking, and throwing the ball for them, among other things. I have always enjoyed sharing my daily activities with a dog friend and most of the time I am lucky enough to have my dogs follow me just about anywhere, I just recently adopted a dog of my own, he is a sweet shelter dog named grandpa, who absolutely loves other dogs ( and humans ;)) I have a little bit of extra time on my hands these days and thought I would turn my "Rover" back on and see if anyone needed my services. Due to a delay in the move date for an apartment, I needed to extend Jaquie's stay by a day and Stephen was very accommodating. He treated her like she was his own dog. I couldn't have asked for a better sitter. Jaquie went on hikes, walks, and went swimming with Stephen and I know she loved every minute of it. Thank you Stephen.

Stephen's cared for my dog, Kelso, many times. I'd rather leave Kelso with him than anyone else. Kelso has some pretty serious separation anxiety and doesn't like to be left alone or boarded, even with other dogs. Stephen's is the only place I can leave him where he doesn't get anxious or depressed. Stephen keeps him happy and active, going for hikes, swimming, playing and giving him plenty of love and attention when chilling out for some down time. I can relax knowing he'll be happy and well cared for when Stephen's watching him.
Stephen has had a dog or dogs since he was born, they are one of his passions in life, and he is extremely good with making any canine friend comfortable around him. He always is making sure any dog that is around is taken care of, whether that means they need food, water, attention, exercise, or just love. When I watched him care for his sick and dying golden retriever last year it was heartbreaking, but Jake was a happy dog when he finally passed. Stephen gave him insulin and medicine everyday and slept on the ground with him for months towards the end of Jake's life. I have known him to take care of many other peoples dogs in the past with no hesitation, always adjusting his life to make room for a new buddy. I know it would bring great joy to Stephen to take care of any dogs here in Northern California ~ It would not be work for him but an honor.
