The Mrs. Doubtfire for your pup!

Pet care experience

OK, so I'm not going to dress up as an old woman (thankfully), but I will be the caring drop-in that does it all! My goal is to care for your pup as you would; being fun, firm when needed, and engaging is the name of the game. To be more specific, that means figuring out what makes the tail wag the most (favorite toy, favorite parts of the neighborhood, tug of war or belly rubs? Both?) and making sure that there's a satisfied pup at the end of the day. That also means (especially if they're younger) that the same rules apply as when you're at home. Please keep me in the loop with any specifics about your dog and I'll adjust accordingly! I look forward to hearing from you, thank you for your consideration, and let me know how I can help!

Stephen really is the Mrs. Doubtfire to my pup. He has taken such incredible care of Oliver (sometimes I think even better than I do!). He makes sure Ollie gets his meals on time, double-checks with me to make sure he is feeding him the proper portions, and most importantly, gives him frequent (and long) walks. He treats Ollie as tho he is his own pup by giving him undying love and affection--we couldn't be more grateful to have Stephen in our lives!

I have known Stephen for a while now and it doesn't surprise me that he wants to be a dog walker for Rover. He is always stopping on the street when we pass a dog because he needs to say hi, and they always seem to want to say hi back. He watched my dog while I was away and I couldn't have been happier with the care he kept with her. I highly recommend Stephen should be the one to walk your dog.

Information Stephen M. would like to know about your pet

I would love to know anything everything you think someone should know about your dog. For example: favorite toys, typical diet/treat intake, sensitivity to foods, typical energy level, favorite parks, ability to interact with dogs/people/kids, behaviors/tricks you want to work on, etc. Hopefully, that helps jog your memory!

A typical day

First and foremost, this varies by dog because the first thing I want to do in any new situation is understand the lay of the land. Now that the boring (but important) stuff is out of the way, your pup will get whatever it needs to be happily snoring, in a weird position on the floor, the way they do when they're totally ready to relax. Assuming I have the green light from you, walks will be varied around the neighborhood, normal parks, and dog parks to get a complete exposure to different situations. We'll play tug of war, fetch, do training exercises (if you're working on reinforcing something), but also have time to relax. As you know, there is such a thing as over-stimulation and the key is to have a happy and healthy pup, not a crazy one.
