I have been a dog owner most of my life. We had a family dog when I was a kid, but when he passed away, my folks got me a dog. She was an outside, guard dog, but I would play with her outside every chance I could. She passed away when I was in college. Just before we got married, my wife and I took in her brother's puppy because he didn't have time to take care of her. We've trained with with a short simple commends. I walk her every day, and when we have time she likes to play fetch. We throw balls outside, but inside she has some squeak toys. She gets along well with my roommate dog when she's out of town.
