Pet care experience
I am a second-year veterinary student at LSU. I have roughly 10 years of experience in the care and management of canines, felines, livestock, and exotics. Before heading off to vet school, I was a veterinary technician for four years and have in experience administering medication, special diets, first aid, and recognizing when a pet isn’t doing well. I have worked with a lot of different canine and feline personalities, so I am comfortable handling any breed, age, size, and personality type (reactive, aggressive, shy, rowdy, etc..). Additionally, I am Fear Free Certified Level 3 and utilize a fear free approach to minimize fear/anxiety/stress. I know leaving your pet in the care of a someone new can be stressful, so I highly encourage a short meet and greet beforehand to ease any anxieties. If that isn’t possible, I can follow instructions quite well to ensure everything is taken care of while you are away.

During a drop-in visit, I ensure all instructions by the pet parent are followed. Visits last between 15 and 30 minutes depending on the pet's needs. I also offer a 60 minute visit if needed. Before I leave your home, I double check to make sure your pet is safe and all doors are locked. During walks, I ensure your pet is secured on their lead at all times and take extra precautions for reactive or fearful pets.
