I've recently moved to the Black Mountain area and look forward to meeting new fur friends, having left some great ones behind. I've been on both sides of the travel/pet sitting equation, so I relate to your desire for responsible, loving care of your fur buddies leaving you to work or travel with peace of mind. I'm well trained to go on walks and/or runs, pacing the activity to your dog's needs and wants. I'll get detailed instructions from you about feeding, medications, favorite toys, funny rituals, and contact information. In addition to dogs I've also taken care of fish, cats, snakes and a tortoise. I'm comfortable with older animals and their special needs and any maintenance grooming that may be in order. Mostly, dogs just want to have fun! I look forward to talking with you about your upcoming needs. Overnight rates include 24 hrs plus an additional 4 hours. Additional time is pro-rated based on your return. If you live over 10 miles out, there will be a charge for fuel costs. Let me know your needs and we can work with them!

Stephanie was great!! She took care of our 2 dogs while we were on the mountain. She gave great updates with pictures and kept the dogs fed/watered/pottied. Would recommend!
Stephanie was wonderful! We enjoyed meeting her and liked her right away. And importantly, she connected really well with our spunky three-year-old golden doodle, Doris Day. She did long walks and gave great feedback each day. She obviously loves dogs, and was able to give us a recommendation on a harness that ended up being perfect for Doris. We had tried several previously, and weren't happy with any of them. We would not hesitate to have Stephanie take care of our beloved pet again in the future.
Stephanie took great care of our 2 boxers and our home in a recent overnight stay. She took good care of our pets and our home. All praises and no complaints about her services! We highly recommend her to others who need to line her up for a sleepover in their home. She sent photos and stayed in touch, just as we requested. Very dependable!
Stephanie was a great dog sitter. We left her with three dogs with vastly different personalities and feeding schedules. When we checked in each dog was doing exactly what they do when we are home. She asked questions about them and really cared for them. I am very happy with her and would use her again.

I"m interested in how your dog gets along with people and other dogs. Is he/she leash trained? Treat-motivated? Have any issues with food, noises, slippery floors, or other things we should watch out for? Where do they like to sleep? How will they react when someone comes to the door? Do they have any favorite games?
A typical day
I am accustomed to walking dogs every day, and enjoy getting outside and watching the seasons change. Of course we adjust times and lengths of our walks due to each dog's needs and abilities. Most importantly, we take time to smell! I'm comfortable with administering medication and can work with any sort of complex feeding that needs to be done. It's best to stick to routine as much as possible when you are out of town. I often work from home so will use your home and internet connection as my basis to keep in touch.

I have a flexible schedule so am often able to accommodate clients. I have a cat at home so feed her twice daily on a overnight visit.
