I started working with dogs as a child, walking and training the family dogs. Since then I have worked in animal shelters, doggy daycare centers, and veterinary clinics, always with a keen interest in mental health and physical fitness. I think that there is a great deal of benefit to be had, for a dog, by both mental and physical stimulation. In order to provide that to dogs, I try my best to keep up with scientifically based positive progressive training methods. I have walked 2 long distance trails, the Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail, 2,100 and 2,600 miles respectively, and walk and hike in the foothills and mountains in my off time, so in short, walking is also a passion of mine. To have the opportunity to enrich the lives of dogs through ambulation and outdoor engagement is in my opinion, perfection.
