Pet care experience
I started working in animal hospitals at 16 and continued for 9 years through high school and college. I then transferred to clerical work before becoming a stay at home mom and eventually a homeschooling mom. I have continuously had a dog since I was a child and only recently am without one due to divorce. I have graduated from police academy (prior to children) and graduated with an AA in Criminal Justice. I believe in treating others as I'd like to be treated and am therefore reliable and responsible.
Reviews
Stephanie and her family did a great job with my sensitive husky and I felt very confident leaving her in their care. Highly recommend!
Stephanie, her husband, and her children were absolutely amazing with my pup! This was my first time using Rover and my first time leaving my dog anywhere overnight, let alone multiple nights. But Stephanie immediately gave me so much reassurance as soon as we drove up! She provided Copper with so much love, exercise, and experience! She provided me with pictures and videos along the way too. When I returned to pick him up, I could see how much Copper liked Stephanie and how comfortable he was with her. Made me feel so reassured! Thank you to you and your family Stephanie. Will be using again 100%!
Stephanie and her family are amazing!! We left our husky with her for 4 days and he was happy as can be when we picked him up. We were nervous having never left him with someone we didnt know before but were immediately put at ease when we dropped him off. He was clearly well taken care of and loved like he was their own. We will absolutely leave our pup with her again. Thank you stephanie!
Stephanie has been incredible for our family and our dog Reagan. We work crazy hours and because of her dedication she has made it possible for us to keep our dog. She is so flexible and amazing with Reagan. Reagan absolutely loves her days with Stephanie which is saying a lot because she is a very shy dog. But Stephanie was so amazing with her she is so happy everyday she spends with her. Absolutely recommend Stephanie to anyone.

I have an 1800 sq ft home and 1/2 acre that is not fenced. Your pet will be taken on leash outdoors to use the bathroom throughout the day. Your pet is welcome in all of the downstairs, which is where we are all of the time that we're awake. During the night, your dog is free to be downstairs and sleep on a dog bed, in a dog crate, or if your dog has separation anxiety at night, it could be arranged with prior approval for your dog to sleep upstairs in my room in a dog crate. For bathroom breaks, your dog would be leashed. I have a 14 year old son who loves dogs and hopes to be a musher someday, and I have a 6 year old daughter who has spent her life with dogs, so is accustomed to them and knows what and what not to do.

Information Stephanie S. would like to know about your pet
I have experience with many breeds. I would like to know any history of aggressive behavior towards people or other animals. I am best able to make your pet feel at home if you share your pet's likes, dislikes, and routines. I want your pet happy during his/her stay, and I want you to be able to leave them knowing that your pet is safe and properly cared for. I am able to give subcutaneous injections, but have very limited experience with intra-muscular injections and therefore would not feel comfortable giving them.
A typical day
Your pet will be a part of our family and receive attention from me and my two well behaved children who have experience with many types of pets. I am available to take your dog for a walk during the day several times. There are trails near my home that I frequent for walks.

Weekdays I am home all day homeschooling my remaining two children. I have flexibility to be able to take breaks throughout the day to care for your pet. If your pet is boarded in my home, then there will be someone with them the overwhelming majority of the time. I may need to run a child to an activity, in which case, if you desire, I can even bring your pet in the car with us. I am able to tailor your pet's care to what is best for you and your pet. Due to travel to the lower 48 to visit my adult children and occasional substitute teaching, there may be times I am out of town or unavailable on a weekday, so if you are needing long-term set schedules you would need to arrange for other care with another Rover associate during those times. I will always strive to keep my calendar accurate and give plenty of notice for any disruptions if you choose to use me for a long-term set schedule.
