Pet care experience

Flexible, reliable and prompt. I have over 30 years of experience with all sizes and breeds as well as handicap and disabled dogs. I have owned German Shepherds, American Staffordshire (Pitbull), Labadors, Great Dane, Doberman, Parsons Terrier, Maltese and BlueTick Coonhound. We also foster. Wife, mom to 2 teenagers, currently own 4 dogs Cooper age 9 (Maltese) Our most recent rescue/foster became our newest family member Storm she will be 5 in May (a GS/Doberman mix). She is only 40 lbs and wonderful with our little pups and clients. We have 2 BlueTick Coonhounds Bella and Blu just turned 1. All our pups over the years were rescues. I worked for the State for 8 years and also retired from the Pinellas County Sheriffs Office as a Crossing guard. My husband and I are self employed and work from home. Our 2 children 18 and 20 are I or soon to be in college and at home so your pups will always have someone with them. I was a volunteer in my children’s school (pre covid) as well as in our church as a Sunday School Teacher. Native Floridian, originally from Sarasota, lived in Pinellas County since 1990. Love to travel, play golf, walk on the trail and bike. I would take excellent care of your dog(s) / babies as they were my own.

Stephanie was a fabulous pet sitter! We loved all the pictures she sent and how attentive she was to our girl. Her home is perfect for dogs, complete with “Dog TV” to calm potential anxieties. We feel extremely comfortable leaving our dog with Stephanie and highly recommend!

Stephanie and her family are absolutely fabulous! They are incredibly kind, conscientious, and gave me great peace of mind leaving my fur-baby behind.

I have over 30 years of experience both personally and professionally. My clients are my babies while in our care. They are loved and cared for like my own and my own are spoiled, in a positive way. We adhere to our client’s wishes, follow schedules, training and dietary guidelines. We are an active family, our pets travel with us as well as our clients pets if permitted. I document, photograph and message my clients throughout the day, days or weeks. What you see in our photos and references is who we are and what we provide.

Information Stephanie S. would like to know about your pet

It is crucial to know what your pets history is. What medical issues it had or has. Any food, treat and personality issues it may have. We have no breed preference, I am not afraid of a dog due to its breed or past. I am open to all stages and ages. Will care for dogs with medical issues and/or special needs. We have had deaf dogs, dogs requiring various medications and shots. I have cared for pets that have had abusive pasts, aggression issues. We have cared for dogs that were blind, deaf, multiple that were blind and deaf. Those that were diabetic, incontinent and that had mobility issues that required special assistance. Those with multiple fear or separation issues. If I know about it I am better equipped to care, love and support your pet.

A typical day

Typical day in our home is 4am potty, 6-7am feeding followed by a 30 minute yard play. I work from home so 8-12 is my work time. Of course potty breaks and short yard play about once per hour. 12-1 playtime and my lunch break. 1-5 back to work, again potty breaks and yard time once an hour. Supper at 5 and the daily supper and relax time. Multiple outside time before bed at 9-10. No we do have actives during the week and depending on those 1 of the parent or kids maybe out but there is normally someone home with pups during the day. No more than 2-4 hours at the most are the potential alone. We have a large fenced yard, which gives me the advantage to a lot of outside time if wanted obviously not required. Also we utilize the dog park and upper Pinellas and Pasco trail that is a 5 minute walk from my home. When we have pups in our home or that we are caring for in their homes, we follow that pup/pups daily schedule.

The beautiful part of our family and business is that they will be cared for by all four of us. Animals connect with people and not every pet is going to like or bond with everyone. So if we find that they respond better with 1 or 2 of us. Than that is the one who will care for them the most. Not to say the others won’t but whoever they are most comfortable with will be the one that does the most one on one with them. We will adhere to your pet’s schedule and routine consistency is key does not matter what age. That includes not just their dietary and possible medical requirements but also grooming and training. We will document, photograph and record videos of our time with your baby/babies.
