Pet care experience
I'm a licensed veterinary technician with years of experience caring for most species. I welcome any size dogs, cats, birds, and reptiles. Having worked at a boarding facility, I saw a lot of anxious animals. (Dog jail!) It's so much better for them to be in a home. If your pet has special needs- post surgery, diabetic, difficult to medicate, disabled- no problem. I will walk your dog every 4 -8 hours, or as you request. Cats can have their own room (in my home) if you prefer. I have a mostly fenced yard and live on a quiet street that's nice for walking dogs. My house can be puppy proofed easily. I have 2 cats and a chinese water dragon. I've had a jack russel and labs in the past, but currently do not have dogs because of my previous work schedule and travels. I've had snakes, birds, fish, rabbits, goats, horses, etc in the past. I'm open to watching your pets at my house or yours, long term or occasional needs. I work at a small animal hospital, and can sometimes take pets to work with me if they can't be left alone. I have a reliable truck with 4 wheel drive. I'm willing to take pets to the vet. Other services like light housekeeping or driving you to the airport are ok too. Why I love dog sitting I've had dogs my whole life. Right now I don't have any because of my previous work schedule and travels. Meet my pets I have 2 male neutered adult cats and a chinese water dragon. About my yard I have a decent sized back yard, mostly fenced in. Large enough for playing fetch. My experience administering medication I am a vet tech, and have given countless injections, administered subcutaneous fluids, tested blood glucose levels, gave oral medications (pill gun if needed), applied topical meds, eye drops, etc...

I am so glad I decided to board my pups with Stephanie. One of my dogs is a very shy, nervous, anxious little girl, and boarding her or kenneling her is usually a very stressful experience. But she seemed to have no problems at all in Stephanie's calm and tranquil home, even during 4th of july weekend!
Stephanie was amazing!! She took care of our Mia with such love and care and even gave her a nail trim!! Mia was happy and even ate food while we were gone, which she normally doesn't do. I got a few pics while we were away which made me feel so good about leaving her and I could see that she was being taken care of. We brought her home and she was so tired from all her fun she slept for hours! LOL Will definitely use Stephanie again!
Stephanie was great - and Honey was so happy and well-cared-for! I also appreciate how accommodating Stephanie was with our schedule. I would definitely choose Stephanie to care for Honey again, the next time we travel!
over the last five years stephanie rice has dog-sat my two chihuahuas (red and kira) on many occasions for multiple days at a time. she has always done an excellent job, and both dogs love her like family. because red and kira were rescued from a puppy mill they tend to not take to new people, but stephanie is an exception. she has even trimmed their nails - a task even the vet finds difficult with red (the male). stephanie is a trained vet-tech with a loving and compassionate demeanor to which dogs immediately respond. i would highly recommend her to sit for any dog, and have. she has also cared for my friend's shelty mix who has anxiety issues (teddy), and is among the few people whom teddy seems to like and trust.

If doing visits to your house, we can talk about your specific needs. I'm flexible.
