Pet care experience
I have owned and cared for dogs for over 25 years. I have always had at least 3 dogs at a time. They are my everything. I also have 4 cats in my home whom I love dearly. I will also sit for cats. I am a veterinary assistant and practice manager at a local animal hospital for the past 5 1/2 years. Since I am in the field that I am, should any client's pet become ill or have an emergency I have access to immediate medical care. Over the years I have done animal rescue, been a member of the animal emergency response team, and also served as an animal control officer for a local borough. I am able to give oral medications to dogs and cats alike. I can also do injections such as insulin, allergy, and Adequan. Recently I've started a new venture in grooming as well. Typically I do try to make sure everyone is bathed, looking and smelling their best before they go home.

I do not have a breed preference...I love them all! I also will care for cats. I have 4 of them as well. I do require that all dogs are up to date of vaccines, on monthly flea, tick, and heart worm prevention, are good with older children, and get along with dogs and cats.
A typical day
I live in Palmerton's west end which is pretty quiet. The dog's will primarily play in the house and fenced back yard. We can walk the west end or go for a longer walk into town to the Palmerton Park. In the summer I do put a baby pool on the back patio for the dog's to splash in. My dog's enjoy swimming in the big pool (Which has an enclosure and a gate that is securely locked at all times) and floating around with me on the rafts. If you have a small dog that enjoys the pool they can go in with me. I do have doggie life jackets available. When there are dogs here the whole family gets involved in playtime and we typically fight over who is going to sleep with them.
