Pet care experience
MY EXPERIENCE: I am familiar with most dog breeds and sizes, and am happy to administer medications when necessary. I am experienced with puppies and senior dog care as well. As of April 2023, I am a mama to a Great Dane named Cali, my two cats Bean and Neo, and my newborn (human) son William. I am on maternity leave and work from home otherwise, as does my husband Adam who may accompany me to visits—or substitute in my place if communicated and okayed with you ahead of time. When it comes to your pet's care, I will treat them with the same love as I do my own.

Stephanie is a real gem! After contacting many sitters and getting no response, Stephanie responded quickly and courteously, scheduled a meet and greet, and did great with our dogs. She stays in communication, and I trust her with our fur babies! I highly recommend Stephanie!
Wonderful! Personable and kind, defniitely trusted that she would take great care of our pets. When we came home everyone was happy and the house looked great; we were communicated with the whole time, and she was just an overall delight.

IN YOUR HOME: I will never leave your dog unattended in home (if usually crated) or in the backyard (Different circumstances for shy dogs or dogs who like their privacy, there are those ones haha). I will always make sure that dogs are on their leashes before doors are opened and will always guard the door while entering if the dog is not crated. I suggest leaving treats on a table near the front door if you know your dog can be shy with strangers. IF YOU HAVE CAMERAS IN YOUR HOUSE THAT HAS TO BE DISCLOSED. I do not mind cameras as they can ensure everyone’s safety, but I need to know they are there, as it can be a violation of my privacy if not disclosed. Please make me aware of all animals in your home even if I am not providing care for them. If I'm there to pick up a dog for a walk, I prefer not be surprised by a skittish kitty! TRAVEL: I live in Georgetown and I am willing to travel up to 20 minutes for drop-ins and walks. If additional travel is required I will add a small additional charge to cover my gas.

Let me know if you have pets within your home that I will not be caring for during drop-ins or may see when picking up a pet for a walk. Also please inform me if your dog is particularly high energy, does or doesn't get along with other dogs, or if they have nicknames or sounds they respond best to! Please also let me know if there are things you do or do not allow your pet to do, like being on the couch, cats on counters/tables, or even how often they're allowed treats. I know my cat likes to pretend he hasn't been fed so he can get more wet food!
A typical day
If your dog has a favorite place to go for walks, let me know! It is best to keep them in a comfortable and familiar space when introducing them to a new experience, such as a walk with me! When I am caring for your pet, I like to keep the experiences you provide them consistent with what I do; whether that be training, exercise, or interactions with new faces :)

I am currently on maternity leave (first son born April 2023) but work from home full time otherwise, and have a flexible schedule to accommodate your pets’ needs.
