Pet care experience
I grew up in a family where our dogs were always treated as a member of the family, and I've always had a special connection with animals. Growing up, I volunteered at a no-kill shelter called the Animal Rescue Force and presently, I dog sit part-time while I'm at school getting my masters in Integrative Medicine. I would love to give your dog all the extra love and affection they require while you're gone! I'm a very active person and I enjoy going on long dog walks. Additionally, I've dog-sat for dogs that have had special medication or treatment needs, so I am no stranger to nursing older, sick dogs. I'm a very responsible, patient person with a lot of experience in caring for animals of all types (including cats, birds, reptiles).

I have left my dogs with Stephanie a number of time. I have two French bull dogs who extreme sensitivity to heat. She is so good with them and is able to tell when it’s time to come in from the walk and cool down. Stuck to their eating and walking schedule. And spoiled them with so much love. She cleaned their tear stains without any instruction to and that just showed her genuine love and care for my animals. She is one of the only people I trust my fur babies with. Highly recommend.

I live in an apartment building, so I am unable to keep large dogs in my apartment overnight. If the dogs are smaller and crate trained, I am able to keep them in my apartment. I don't own a crate so I'll need you to provide one (which I understand provides your pet with a stronger sense of safety and security while you're gone). When it comes to caring for your pet in your home, I adapt quickly and respect the wishes of my clients. I don't require a crate if this isn't your way of doing things. All I ask is for a list of wishes and requirements so that I can follow suit!

Please let me know if about your pup's special needs and any special behaviors. While I have experience with anxious, territorial, or aggressive dogs, it's in all of our best interest if I'm made aware of this ahead of time. Please let me know about any medication/medical needs- I am in a master's program which requires a clinical internship, so I need to plan ahead of time to make sure I am available to meet your pup's needs.
A typical day
My favorite thing to do with dogs is snuggle; my family and friends jokingly calls me the "puppy masseuse". I also love to play fetch and I pride myself on my patience with this game (some pups want to go on forever, and others like to play hard to get). I'm an avid walker, and I often walk to Mead Botanical Gardens, which is about a 30 minute walk from my home.

Availability
I am currently in school Wednesday- Friday from 9am until 6pm. I am available for dog-sitting, walks and checkin-ins starting on Fridays after 6pm until Tuesday evenings. I have a side part-time job, but the majorite of my clients are remote except for 1-2 of them. My main way of studying is taking walks and using the "Quizlet" app on my phone, so I often take my client's dogs on walks with me.
