Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs my whole life and would never have it any other way! I’ve also been roommates with many cats. I’ve been running & walking dogs for over 10 years & have pet-sat for years for many different clients and for varying lengths of time, the longest having been 30 days. I volunteer for animals in my spare time & help rehabilitate animals who are injured & need extra care. I have volunteeered at shelters & for animal rescue foundations. My love for animals began at birth. At age 3 when asked in preschool what I want to be as an adult, I said I want to be a vet of course! I have also been athletic my whole life and love being outdoors, whether I’m walking, hiking, or running, I’m in my element. Add a dog to the mix and I’m having a perfect day. My love for animals and the outdoors go hand-in-hand as a dog walker and pet sitting and dog walking have always been my favorite job I’ve ever had. I have a college degree in business but my job of choice is taking care of animals.

Stephanie was very attentive to the needs of my senior dog and gave him a great walk and break just as he needed. Such a huge relief to know he is okay even when I'm gone for even just a short time.
Stephanie dog-sat for my husband and I for two weeks while we were on vacation. She did so well with our two dogs and sent updates, including photos and videos, every day to reassure us that our doggies were happy. I’ve never had a better experience with a pet sitter. The photos she sent showed the dogs smiling, which is rare for them to begin with, but compared with photos of my dogs frowning with their ears back, which is received from the dog sitter I used prior, it was a world of a difference and I could just tell immediately when I met her how much she loves animals. I would never trust my pets with anyone else after using Stephanie as my pet sitter.

I like all dogs, no preferences. I would like to know how comfortable they are with people, children, other dogs, and whether they have any diet restrictions or medical needs, as well as any fears the dog may have. I want to know everything I can about the dog to keep him or her safe, healthy, and happy.
A typical day
Depending on the dog, we will go hiking, running, or walking. I know lots of nice streets that are quiet and enjoyable for my own two yorkie-mix dogs, lots of nice hikes that bigger dogs enjoy, and a ton of great dog parks and dog beaches, including my favorite and most local dog park that has separate big and small dog parks so for owners who don’t want their small dogs or puppies to get injured playing with the big boys, this park is great. I take my own dogs there all the time.
