I miss having a dog in the house!
Pet care experience
I have had Basset hounds, Labradors, Beagles, and a variety of mutts. I like to have time to travel without boarding a pet, but miss having a dog in the house when I'm home. I'm a teacher so I'm off for the summer and my husband still goes to work. I love furry friends to hang out with, being outdoors and exercise. I don't have any pets currently, but have a fenced in backyard that previous dogs have enjoyed. We don't have any children at home any more, but a neighborhood full of dogs around.

Stephanie was phenomenal. Communicative and VERY understanding about Layla’s, let’s call them, “attachment” issues. She made her feel right at home.
I had the pleasure of having Posty boarded with Stephanie while I traveled for work. Prior to the actual boarding dates, we had a meet and greet at Stephanies home to garner Posty's comfortability and coming there. With the very first introduction, Posty warmed up to Stephanie and the house as if it was her own home. There was an abundance of toys and beds for her to play with. I got numerous updates from Stephanie with how she was doing including walks, introduction to swimming, visiting Stephanie's in-laws and their dogs. This was my first time using Rover and I would not hesitate to board her again with Stephanie.
Stephanie always takes such great care of my puppy Milo! She has a nice fenced in backyard and sends lots of photos and updates!! I know Milo is in great hands when he’s with her!
Stephanie was great, Teddy definitely had a great work out :)

Information Stephanie M. would like to know about your pet
*I have stairs to go out in the backyard and into the house. Also stairs to the basement and upstairs. I can carry your dog if they are under 40 pounds. Let me know what your dogs routine generally is so I can make them comfortable in a new environment. Do they like napping on the couch, looking out a window or lots of outdoor exploring time? If I can walk or run them, how far do they usually go and are they friendly to other dogs or should I avoid crowded paths and dog parks? Are they afraid of thunderstorms -what do you do to comfort them?
A typical day
I have a good shaded trail near the house for super hot days and go up to 5 miles at a time. There are sunny hilly sidewalk routes too. I have a covered patio where we can sit and check out the neighborhood on goings or work in the yard. I have a plastic baby pool I can fill with water and I'll play fetch with any dog who is into that. If your dog is okay with a car ride, I love Shawnee mission park and my in-laws have a fenced in backyard with a pool where dogs are welcome to swim and hang out with me. If your pet likes air conditioning and tv watching with pets and cuddles, I'm into that also.
