I lived in Bolivia for 7 years and have been in Ottawa for 4 years. In Bolivia, I had a lot of experience with street dogs/rescue dogs and cats. I wanted to adopt them all. I learned that all animals deserve the best care and are only looking for a friendly caregiver. Love and attention are so important. I did adopt a senior dog who became blind. She taught me so much about adapting to your circumstances and how much love and patience can improve their well being and make them live longer. I currently go for walks to meet dog owners and pet their dogs. I have dog and house sitting experience with Jack Russels to Rottweilers. I also adopted a cat who provided me with years of entertainment. I grew up with a small dog for 16 amazing years. I only accept dogs over 3 years old.

Stephanie was great with my pup. She took him for a walk, played with him and by the end of the visit he was snuggling in her lap. She also took photos throughout the day to help keep me updated which was very appreciated.
Great care by Stephanie at our home including photos and reports. Long, 1 hr walk daily with time off leash at Windsor Park plus a 2nd medium length walk around the neighborhood. Highly recommended.
Can't say enough great things about Stephanie care for our dog. We were kept well informed and photos were regularly shared. 100% will be booking again

I would like to know if they get along with other dogs for when we go on walks and if they pull. I would also like to know if they are reactive to noises, bark a lot, and if they are a chewer. I only accept dogs over 3 years old.
A typical day
I will go on walks with your dog around my neighbourhood every 4 to 8 hours. We will also play in the apartment, or in the dog park (if applicable) and throw balls/sticks, or just chill and have cuddles. I have DIY toys that the dogs love. They will get lots of cuddles, affection and attention that they deserve.

Availability
I'm currently in the office 3 days a week. The days are flexible but I need to be in the office 3 days a week but with enough advance notice I can work from home for one week if needed. I can give lots of love and attention and 1 quick walk in the morning and 2 one hour walks at lunch and in the evening. From May to October I go to my cottage on a lake from Thurs. night to Sunday. Your dog must be good on long car rides, get along with other dogs, be comfortable off leash, or like to stay inside and aren't runners. Your dog should be OK being left alone for an hour or so and not bark. Bonus if they love the water. If your dog meets this criteria I would love to take them to the cottage on weekends with me and wear them out with too much fun in the sun and water!
