Pet care experience
I have had five years of formal work dog and cat sitting in the New England area, although my experience with animals has extended for my entire life (I grew up as the designated friend that got on the floor and play with the animals at every house I ever went to.). I have volunteered at the ARLGP and have a had particular experience with rescue animals — timid mix breed dogs, rambunctious clingers, cats living in unsanitary house conditions, etc. Because I develop my own hours (I'm a freelancer), I have the privilege of being a very active person and love taking creatures on long and adventurous walks//hikes throughout the day. I am patient and thoughtful about the unique needs of each animal and their daily joys and am big on playtime snuggles and pets! Additional: LGBTQI+ BLM

Stephanie was incredible to my pups! Thank you so much!!!!
Stephanie was so sweet with my dog, Dory and kept her safe and happy while pet sitting at my apartment. She was also very professional and communication response time was always very prompt. This made for a very stress-free day for me, which was appreciated! I would definitely recommend Stephanie!
This is our second time (and won’t be our last) working with Stephanie. We decided to go for a last minute day trip and Stephanie was available to walk our pups so that we didn’t have to feel rushed. We are super grateful that we have someone that we can trust that is reliable and loves our pups as her own.
Steph was so great to work with. She was knowledgeable and wasn’t afraid to ask questions to make sure she was able to give the right care. I was totally at ease knowing that she was with our pups. She gave us daily updates and sent the best pictures. I could see that she loved our pups as if they were her own. They can’t say it out loud but I know that the pups will be asking for her again in the future!!

I live in a large apartment on the third floor. If I am boarding your pet, they either need to be comfortable with stairs or comfortable being carried. I have a large backyard and live a five minute walk from Payson Park/Back Cove Loop. I am also 5 minute drive from East End Beach and 15 minutes from Willard Beach if your dog is looking to socialize :)

Information Stephanie L. would like to know about your pet
I believe it is important to know of any tendencies or structures that your animal might be most relaxed in. There are many rescue animals that are still new to their family and home and I understand that that can be challenging to introduce someone new into their routine. Open and honest communication about the niches of your dog is only a benefit to me, not a deterrent.
A typical day
I understand that many dogs require strict routines to ensure a relaxed and comfortable state. I am happy to walk routes that are familiar to your animal. If your animal likes new experiences, I love going on leashed adventures through all of the local parks where there are plenty of natural elements to sniff and explore.

Availability
Because I am in the freelance industry, I make my own schedule. I do not create availability on Rover unless I know that I will have a full day's ability to dedicate to your animal! Guaranteed attention to ensuring your animal gets the exercise, stimulation, and power naps it deserves!
